Bought my bike brand new. but now not so brand new liao. haha. the tyre is still the stock tyre that came with the bike. the box is H&B Journey TC52 with metal rack.

It does shake violently when i let it go at around 40-50km/h. I dare not let it go handsfree for more than 2-3 seconds as I could hear the metal banging, not sure from where though. i was just afraid of the inevitable tank-slap if i let the handlebar goes handsfree any longer.

 

Makes me wonder whether it's due to weight of the box and metal rack are the cause of the handlebar shake lol.. handling is a bit weird now.

 

not so brand new.. hahaha.. may i also know how old is ur bike? how much mileage as of now? when do u start to have that shaky feeling?

 

i dun think ur top rack & box could give u that kind of banging problem unless it is installed incorrectly or loosely installed.. u got try checking it out?

anyway, tat is my Tibo GPS ori mount.. but that mount is no longer there already cus i had swap the holder & base plate blah blah blah to compatible with my ram mount.. and yes, now i can mount my iphone, GPS, camera & even a drink! i ever dabao bubble tea & drink at traffic junction! hahahaha!

 

of cus not forgetting my auto eject function! yes! eject when encountered danger right? that's how my IU & right side dashboard panel felt danger when i was over 250km/hr along meleka NSHW.. it jus say bye bye to me..

From the owner manuals, I notice that for 2011-12 models, the recommended plugs are NGK/CR9E.

But for 2010 model, it's CR9EK.

 

Think someone in this thread mention abt using CR10EK plugs right? What is the difference between them all?

 

i'm the one who is using.. hard to explain in words anyway.. CR10EK are cooler plugs.. ur engine feels a little bit cooler.. the only disadvantages over CR9EK is that it will be slightly harder to crank start ur bike on cooler/colder environments/weather.. hahaha..

where u get the motorex oil n how much? u using so thick oil n high rev no prob? i nvr try that kinda thick oil b4...

 

ur air flow max is after the air box mod rite? me using coolaide. mayb change to belray coolant for the next change. me using iridium 9 rating plugs, no diff with 10 rating leh..

Can I find out when ur bike at mainstand without the sidestand, when kick to 1st gear while still holding onto clutch, is it normal for the rear wheel spinning at ard km/hr?

It was taken out 18 feb 2011. Mileage is 18,100 plus. Before i installed the box could go handsfree for quite a distance. Now when decelerating, could feel the handlebar shaking liao. But i grabbed tight. Will check out any loose nuts and bolts later.

perhaps once u confirm any loose nuts/bolts, if handlebar still shakes, perhaps you would like to check on ur steering area from top down from handlebar cramp to steering bearing to triple cramp to wheel bearing etc etc etc.. lastly if all are alright but problem still persist, it could be ur tires already.. stock tires without balancing might give you problems in that area too..

Hi, just to share. While warming up still on mainstand. Neutral gear my rear wheel already will spin slowly. ^^ dunno if is becoz of the exhaust air blast or other reasons...

Very normal.. I think it has to do with the clutch.. I more worry if it doesnt spin while on mainstand..

Happened to me b4, but lucky after re-adjusting the clutch cable its normal..
