Does your FZ1 make ticking sound? Recently i found out that my bike makes ticking sound and getting louder as time goes. I wonder if anyone encounter the same problem as me. The sound seems to come from the front.

my previous FZ6 also has the ticking sound like u describe near the engine and its kindda irritating. After v/c, throttle body sync, the ticking sound is still there! So I just ignore it as didnt affect bike performance.

Fazer and R1 engines have a ticking sound.. but its not loud.. if urs is getting louder it might mean that ur shims needs to be replaced.. try clutching in while the engine is running.. the sound would become louder..

I just bought a Fazer 2005, 600cc. I'm planning to get side panniers. Any recommendation on where to get the side racks. I'm planning to get the side boxes online. Thank you for your replies.

yours is a s1 series right? try looking for 2nd hands off the sales around or locally rather than getting the side boxes online because the side boxes with or without the racks could be a killer when comes to shipping cost..

assuming the all other things such as ur nuts/bolts r alright, the usual suspect could be your valves and/or timing chain.. most likely it could be the problem.. hmmm.. actually it's not a problem at all.. it's just a sound to most of us.. hahaha..

most likely it's due to ur EO & the temperature that u r running in ur engine now.. no worries one.. just ride more.. when u finished ur running in and change to fully sync EO, ur problem should goes away..

yes.. but if ya not too sure, try do it for free at bike shops when u do ur servicings..
