speedo backlight i think ok ba. cos only u can c. the rest of the lightings like pole light, headlight, all v.strict. even under carriage light, angel eyes, DRL, HID, all buay pass wan. wanna install, better hide the switches. if they cannot find, then they LL lor. thats y the inspector told me.

Can I ask a newbie question?

 

There was no number, no red blink light when I inserted my cash-card into my IU earlier on. Everything was "silent" when I inserted my cash-card. I tried using two different cash-cards which are still valid and past the "expiry date".

 

I repeat the "experiment" for a second time by turning off the ignition and turning on again.

 

May I ask what is the "life-span" of an IU? My IU is the old generation of the thick fat one.

 

I mean, if I remember correctly, I think there is an "expiry date" for the IU, like 7 years or something, is it?

 

Not sure if my IU has "expired" and cannot use now.

 

What is the damage if I need to replace my "expired" IU to the newer type of thin slim one?

 

Few years ago, when I enquired about it, it is something around SGD175++.

 

Not sure about the price now.

here's my newbie answer..

 

maybe ur IU is dead.. but before u go inspection centers, try do self check by checking the wiring & fuse..

 

if it's really dead, if i din rem wrongly, IU warranty is 5 years.. 1 for 1 replaceable if it's faulty.. else a new IU would cost ard $160..

IU can use for 10 years or more if taken care of properly. IU warranty 5 years from date of registration. anything happen to the iu within the 5 years will b a 1 to 1 exchange. if after 5 years got prob, gotta pay for a new iu. sounds shitty.... best is buy a cover to cover the IU. can prevent water from entering n oso, forget to take cashcard out oso nvm. no one can c.

unique bringing in shido lithium battery, according to them, its similar to ballistic battery. damage is $320. they have another brand call nitro. same gel type as yuasa ytz14s. both selling $220.
