both are affordable. but van is cheaper with a few disadvantages.

car is more expensive with some disadvantages.

No more regrets.

not to forget although a van is cheaper, it needs to be registered under a company..

Jan 2003 - Feb 2005 S4 spec 1

Feb 2005 - Apr 2006 FZ6

Apr 2006 - May 2006 Vios & FZ6

May2006 - Jan 2007 Vios

Jan 2007 - ???????? Vios & S4 spec 1

registering a company is actually very cheap and simple

the problem is registration of a van go bring her into msia is a hassle and not pratical to upkeep. u need to pay RM10 a month to msia government once the registration to enter msia is done.

whether u enter or not, u still need to pay RM10 a month.

but of course for a van u can argue u dun need to go in msia, u dun need to travel more den 80km/hr, u dun need to ferry many ppl in comfort, u dun need pay expensive insurance and rd tax, u need not worry abt depreciation of the van coz im going to drive for a straight 10 yrs.

No more regrets.

i will get a van...

oh no...i GOT a van...

why did i go with a van?

1. most of the time..its only me & my gf. my parents have their car..

2. i dont really fancy going to malaysia..

3. huge space behind. i put spare clothing, cleaning equipment...blah blah..even a 5 litre can of water so i can have a picnic anywhere i wish. just open my side doors, hang my legs outside & enjoy!

4. for the same price..i can only get a darn small car..which will be so uncomfortable for me cos im a big guy. the steering wheel will be rubbing my thighs!

5. 80cents per litre of diesel, and that gets me 17km..thats 4.7 cents per km for me. any car get that kind of mileage? i doubt..

6. my engine is powerful! i can give any 1.6 litre car a run for its money. can a $40K car do the same?

yeah, most euro vans like combo, can hit 1000km on a full tank if van is driven conservatively.

however, average is about 850km on a full tank

No more regrets.

yah...i believe i can get around 900km...

but i dont want to run the risk of driving until my fuel line gets an air lock..so i usually top up when it hits the red line...

and of course..the occasional 0-100 in 8 seconds..especially when some 1.6 litre cars try to agitate me by tailgating.....and to clear some black smoke...

so i get around 800km per "full tank"...

some more opel combo has turbo rite?

yup....

not enough to beat a WRX...but hey...its less than half the price!

bang for buck...i think its acceleration the most value for money on 4 wheels...

VW caddy also not bad...

my family is currently driving a renault trafic. so far so good. although its heavy, it can still achieve a min of 13km/litre which involves some agressive pick up
