Which cheese?

The melted ones they dripped over your fries?

The squarish orange slices on your burger?

The in your soup cheese?

The cheese sticks?

The cheese sauce. I used to buy it for 50cents....

I think it's similar to the ones they dripped over your fries... Like KFC cheese fries?

Those are not real cheese per se.

I bought one small bottle from Cold Storage, and found it sold at Mustafa Centre last time.

Not expensive, but it keeps in the fridge forever. And a tad salty. Its flavourings, wheat flour and various chemical additives. I use them as dips, over nachos, soda crackers and even my noodles for when I feel cheesy.

Here's a basic recipe I found online if you are looking at doing it at home, for wholesome goodness. But they can't keep for too long.

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

3 tablespoons of flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 cup milk

salt

pepper

1 cup cheese, grated (Can use cheddar, Colby, Monterrey jack or other cheese)

Cheese Sauce

Melt butter or margarine over medium heat in a two quart sauce pan, taking care that you do not burn the butter.

Remove pan from heat, and add flour. Stir the mixture vigorously until there aren't any lumps left in the pan, creating a thick yellowish paste. Add salt and pepper and mix.

Nacho Cheese Sauce.jpgNacho Chips.jpg

Dearie,

I was returning home, and happened to stop at One North Circle Line Station, and took a walk thru the Cold Storage at Fushionpolis.

I couldnt find that bottle of cheese sauce anymore. But strangely, while looking thru the Pasta and bottled spagetti sauces section.

Found little disposable cups of Nachos Cheese Sauces $7.15 per pack of 4. And its accompanying Nacho Chips are found at the Chips section $4.90.
