I have done with one of those at beachroad before.

can do as big embroidery as long as there is space for the equipment to hold the leather taut. for jeckets, it should be no problem if embroidery is in the middle.

however if the leather is too thick, may have some issues.

but they also do it as a piece separately right?

Gonna go down and do a patch. dun wanna embroider on the leather directly.

never understand how changing a handlebar should take 4 hours.

I wanted to change mine but thankfully didnt becuase i really got used to the riding stance and love it now.

HD SG told me 4 hours and i shot back, "should take no more than 45 mins"

Considering that i changed handlebar on my Triumph within 20 mins.

anyway HD SG's motto is " no money no harley" very simple.

Well, one of the indys charged 2hours for about $40 as I had to change cables. But put the clutch cable in wrong (bearing backward) and said the free play was normal. So had to have the HD dealer fix it. All depends on level of service. But 4 hours seems too long if you dont have to change any cables or wires.

I am going to need a new rear tire soon. I want to go up to the 180 from the 160, does anyone know where a good place to buy a tire would be? Either the Dunlop or Metzler? I will be back in the states in Sep, not sure if a lot cheaper to pick one up there and carry it back.

exactly, i'm on an XL883R and i made it clear when i asked, no need to change any cables and nothing hidden, yet they told me 4 hours.

Given you have the newest Harley - XR 1200, I am not sure I would trust any of local shops for work other than general maintenance like oil changes (and might need to bring your own oil filter). Even then, I would buy the service manual and take it along as am sure no local shop has invested in manuals. They will just try to service based on common bike knowledge...

In around Alexandra, then might try Sunhogs which is not too far away (by Turf City/Swiss Club).
