Hi everyone, got myself a forty eight few weeks ago, curious about the cleaning and polishing regime esp in sg condition. Any tips from the pros .. dos and don't.

Ace Custom Tony, moved back to JB to semi retire. for Harley servicing and repairs,  i recommend Sanfu at Kaki Bukit.   Just google it.  They are efficient both in cost and time taken.  Simple

Although urs is a (Super Torqueky Of Certain Kind) stock exhuast but its a loud stock exhuast. :thumb:

I found out my fork is leaking instead of brake caliper. Hahaha. Anyway I sent to Sunburst for repair liao. Sianz...money spent....

I myself don't know about Dynas, Soft tails etc. I only know Sporters and maybe VRods for now :D

 

Thanks for not laughing at my exhausts :D Actually I should say exhaust note is a laughing stock instead. I cannot take it much longer. Got to do something about it. Urrrggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

BTW what do you mean by "stock pipes will laugh at those who laugh on them"? Hehe.

Difficult to get now leh. I guess I'll go Sunburst to drill out the baffles. Then I'll have stock exhausts like maxxmadness35 :lol:

Get it from ebay lah... haha.. I just took a look at my bike and realised that all the things I fixed on my bike are from ebay. :cheeky:

wah..thats abit ex..depends of how u look on it.

My pt of view--They are still new on doing HD...

 

Recently i just changed the fork seal and oil at $90

Oil filter at $26

Mineral EO at $30

Belt oil- $18

Guess mine is much cheaper but im ok with it. :)

Hey, you cant compare this. Just like when you eat fried chicken in coffee shop and you eat in KFC, the price is always different. Also, never compare other brand to harley, its different stuff. If you does regret what you have, guess the best solutionis to sell it away and get back a jap bike.

Sept 06 - Feb 08 = TZM

Feb 08 - April09= CB 400 Version S

May 09 - Oct 10 = Harley XR1200

Oct 10 - Oct 12= KTM SMT 990

Oct 12 - Oct 13 = Tmax 500

Mar 13 - Jul 13= SYM maxsym 400

Jul 13 - Sep 15 = Getz 1.4

Oct 15 - Now = Burgman 650

Made up my mind already. Drill the dam thing. :D Cheaper and faster to see and hear end result.

I never say I regret leh. I just lament I have been chopped like a carrot. I have been riding Jap bikes for more than a decade liao. I bought HD is to get a feel of the quality and its prestige for comparison. Though it is still a legend, I feel Honda still has the best quality of all. Some may differ but I feel it is the truth.

Hey I am a poor man. That is why I drill the exhausts! Rich man will buy a brand new Bassani or Cobra or Vines and Hines or Phythons or Screamin' Eagles or what-have-yous ... :p

the stock exhuast with baffle removed is one of the sweetest low and bassy exhaust sound and i liked it that way

Is that the one & only way to de-baffle an exhaust?? imho, doesnt really make a diff on the sound.. doesnt sound louder at all (mayb coz of the poor video quality n considering its nt a Harley) n if dat cost me $200, i rather save up n buy an after market exhaust... another thing.. after debaffling the exhaust, will the bike pass the LTA inspection???
