I chase this chap down for about 100m horning him as I go but he still didnt stop... almost lost him when he squeeze between a bus and the kurb..

 

After 2 weeks of bad weather, I finally have a chance to ride out (after I finished the assigned housework...) and damn it was good..... Really enjoyed every minute of it.

 

Nice meeting you on the road. Seeing and hearing your monster for the first time. 1 word..... AWESOME!

Well, it was at my hm at an open space car park and I was going straight exiting to the main road along the way to the main road I was passing by a car where out of the blue she turn into my lane as there was a few car slots where she wanted to park her car.. I manage to avoid her, jam all breaks then hit a curb... ****...!! I got up straight away and told her off.. She didn't signal at all in the first place....!! My tank was dented, bar ends damaged front fender, foot rest, mirriors and signals broke off....!!! Guess wat..!! She's my neighbour..!! Lucky thing she agreed to pay for all the damages in cash...

 

Things i did for my bike..

 

knock out the dent

Spray my tank and front fender

replace all the demage parts

add in (extreme equipments) frame sliders

auto gauge Volt and r.p.m meters

New timing belt

custom L.e.d break light

 

All this damages and extra add on cost me in total $800 and she paid for it already. All done at Race Werks...

Yo man sorry to hear what happened....but glad to hear you are ok. bike can be fixed, body is much harder to fix so at least thats some good news

 

Have you got any links to the rpm meter you are planning on fitting? I'm in the market for one myself

I'm ok just some small scratches...!! Oh ya abt the meters I'm using (Auto Gauge) I bought at Kam Auto accessories, its those use for cars... highest rev is up to 11000 rpm. Our Monster stock ones is up to 12000.. it works though.. Ok the shop is near Regina its beside Mc Donalds do check it out...!!! Chong Aik also have a few, there's a digital one quite nice the brand is Daytona... I didn't buy as I prefer analog ones rather then numbers..

Just a heads up for potential upgraders:

 

Kallang Cycle currently has a Duke 999S (FW plate) left there by the owner to sell. There is a note on the windscreen with the guy's number and asking price: $25,000 (negotiable i think). Stock condition as far as i can see, no open clutch covers and still using stock exhaust. Its a monoposto, no back seat. Of course being the S model it's got all the lovely ohlins shocks and front forks, it also has an ohlins steering damper, dunno if its stock on the 999S. Externally it looks tip top but the clutch isnt working (i presume it will be fixed before it goes to it's new owner)..droooool...

Low mount gpr @ $950... good price..!!! The pipe is loud indeed... if u remove the inner baffels wow...!! I did on mine but need a lot of tuning like the air and fuel ratio thingy... k&N air filter is also a key feture if anyone decides to change to any brand of after market pipes... good luck for ur sales..!! cheers...!!

ducati dun have market price. its depend on condition. whether u like it or not? but u can modifiy a lot of things. is my 2 cents only.

dudley: b very sure to let a mech check e monster b4 u committ to a sale.usually cost 20bucks or so la, but trust me it's worth it. i learnt tht lesson e hard way..piston crankarm cracked after juz one mth of ownership due to lose bolts internally, fixed e baby, burnt a big hole in pockets n had to let her go..

 

so look out for well-maintained ones, it's worth e premium in e long run. =)

Thanks for completing the project with additions that I always had in mind but never got around to doing. Seeing the bike getting such TLC, really warms my heart. I am glad that this unique monster is getting the attention it deserves. Enjoy!

Can it fit my 98 M400? Is it legal?
