Hmm... someone zoomed past me on PIE and exited Adam Road this evening. Are you from this thread? =p

 

mine, only start with a click every moring, without choke. the most important, dun turn your trottle. let its warm up for a 5 to 10 mins. if not, maybe u can adjust the slow higher.

 

The problem is, it can't start at all without choking and a substantial twist of the throttle! =(

i'm thinking it might be mike chong too! the last time i was thr... a few mths back. he was showing me his laptop he got thru one of his customers. and he was showing me how it's really good and all... and how he needs to learn to read bike manuals and stuff thru the laptop. so is it him? but i dont mike would choose littleangel as his nickname? ha

Yup found a 916 OEM one on ebay, to match my existing one. Costs $200++ from ebay, but from minerva costs $450. ha ha ha.

This is non-lockable and the way petrol prices have been, makes it too easy for the thieves. When unscrewing it, you have to be carefyl as the "O" ring seal makes it a tight fit and it comes off in about 2 turns. Too often, mine flew off and landed on the ground.

There are quite a lot trading on in here I think. But you hafta state how much are you willing to part away for the exhaust.

 

Without a laptop, you do have a cell to be contact right?

 

Anyway, I' believe the bros here will be on the lookout for the item for you.

Special thanks to z3r0k3wL.

Heeded your advise and headed to Minerva today and bot the used S4RS.

Px was not exactly cheap but after looking for so long, decided to just screw the wait and to just buy the bike.

 

Also thanks to H@nn for introducing me to the 2001 S4. If anyone is looking, there is a S4 for sale by owner, beautiful condition... .

 

Last but not least, apologies and many thx to blackreplica for entertaining me, answering all my queries and questions.

 

When I get my bike, will definitely join u guys for a ride, that is if you dun mind.

I have a '05 S2R Monster. The tachometer in the gauge cluster is spoilt. I dismantled the gauge cluster unit and zeroed in the problem as a piece of plastic in the stepper motor that has broken off. I need a replacement steper motor (or maybe the entire gauge cluster unit).

 

Would anyone know where I can get hold of an OEM replacement for this stepper motor or gauge cluster?
