Does it seriously underpower and more expensive parts as compared to a super 4, wich i tink is m400 rival in this weight class?

 

the never ending argument.

 

every bike has its pro and cons. all subjective to what you are looking for in your ride.

 

but i'll put a question to you. which super4 which is 10 yrs old hasnt had a top overhaul and piston/piston rings changed out. and name me 1 ducati that has had that done. i personally have seen a 10 yr old stripped down m400 engine before and it looks like it can go another 10 yrs before even checking it again.

 

we dont do overhauls, but our itchy hands only do rebuilds.

 

and put me back on my old m400 and i will go with any super4 spec3 in a challenge round the twisties. I had the most amt of fun on my m400. she brought me thru tons of ups and downs.

 

we spend money on bling. but if u expect a problem free bike that is 10 yrs old? find me a super4 type R (yes type R. alot of young riders dont even know that this model every existed) that doesnt need to have its parts changed out.

Thanx for sharing abit of the history and understanding on Ducati. I have always loved Ducati and Ferrari since young. And to me they are both the best in Italian design and engineering. But i have not yet start my experience with any Ducati but i will, thats a promise i made myself. As soon as I stop procrastinating and finish up my last 2 lessons of 2A (only 4 in total, tsk tsk tsk) which i have delayed for sooo long (no mood, haha). I cant wait to get my M400 and I believe i will enjoy every bit of the experience.

I agree with Hann. The M400 doesnt pretend what it isnt. Despite being underpowered, the bike handles great. Maintenance wise, get a good example and you will save heaps. I started my affair with Ducati starting from the M400... right now, still riding a Ducati.

 

Somehow, I just love the rubbles between my legs on my balls. The great exhaust notes cannot never be compared with a woman's orgasmic moan. One of a kind.

 

Go with what your heart tells you. If you are into functional, fuel saver, least maintenance, go JAP.

 

If you are into claudestine Italian love affairs, GO DUCATI.

 

Nuting will make me change my love affair with all things Italian bro.. Haha.. Im definitely going for Ducati and the Monster is juz my cup of tea.. :)

 

By the way, what Ducati are u riding now?

I think Super 4 is better than M400 because have helmet lock.

Most of the regs here ride several different versions of the Ducati Ltwin. Some even have more than one. Many bikes claim to be this and that, but remember, only a DUCATI is a MONSTER;)

Mine too.. However, I put a firm stand on NOT SELLING DUCATI.. I actually wrote it in thick marker, on a huge post-it and pasted it on the back of our bedroom door.. and the toilet door in our room.. to serve as a strong reminder NOT to bug me to sell the bike...

No lah...bro, I cant do that..... I have been known to be a devil on anything with wheels...even for cars.... so far I promised her..no Malaysia..that sort of stopped the bugging so far...

 

I think she just need assurance that we ride safe...do that and all will be fine bro!
