hi seniors. I'm looking at brand new 2013 FJR or 2013 Kawa 1400 and would like to get more information before i can make my decision.

 

1) what is the FC like?

2) Maintenance wise cost will be like?

3) any special things to take note? like top servicing for how many KM. as this would be a long time ride for me.

4) is it a difficult bike to handle?

 

Please advice. thanks.

 

4) If you go back few pages, i did talk about my review of the FJR. The GTR is a great bike too, but according to a friend who rode the FJR then trade it for the GTR, was a regret. Handling and braking stabiltiy, the FJR is better.

Hi guys, im new to this forum. Just came back from overseas. I need some help and advice on repairing a Gen 2 06' FJR. I used to ride a cbr929rr, and am very used to maintaining, repairing that bike myself, be it valve clearance, oil, coolant change etc.. also, most importantly when i crash or drop my bike(many times). I must say that ive always bought replacement parts off eBay, cuz its easily accessible and affordable.

 

Now that i have an FJR to repair, i found that parts are hard to come by off ebay, especially for the gen 2 model. Take for example, aftermarket fairings, i can only find full sets for the gen 1 online, but no gen 2 one in a full set; only individual pieces.

 

Does anyone know of the suppliers here for fjr spares?

New FJR rider here. I can't activate the Traction Control System (TCS) on my 3-day old FJR today. It was ok when I turned it on yesterday evening. Can anyone help me please? o_O

The TCS light is supposed to go off when you move off and above 10km/h if I rem correctly from the owner's manual. Press and hold to deactivate, press again once shortly to activate.

 

Aside to all the 2013 model owners, anyone has any idea where to get headlight protectors?

you can consider to raceshield the headlight area. Neater and cheaper. It doesnt discolor like headlight protector plastics and no maintenace needed too

The TCS is always on stanby. As long you don't see the TCS(in yellow) then its on.

 

rxzrider. When you said "The TCS light is supposed to go off when you move off and above 10km/h". I think you're referring to the ABS yellow light.

It goes when you travel above 8km/h to be exact. The TCS light will not come on at all unless, there is a problem, or you turned it off, or when the rear tyre slips and the TCS has activated.

just go to any other workshop you will get cheaper.

Next will it be BMW 1600 or quit ridding go for 4 wheel ???
