Just went for 30k service yesterday at HL.

Actually booked the session 1 week in advance.

Think they are really bz wif the CNY season approaching.

Did regular maintenance, change engine oil, filter, gear oil, etc package $175 as usual.

Did syncho of fuel injection and tune idle speed cost me $80.

Changed rear brake pads cost me $65 + $20 for labour.

They also helped me to trouble shoot the light problem on my speedometer. Think it was a loose connection.

That's about all.

everyday so short distance also can hit 30k so fast? :giddy:

I just reach 30,000km also, had DIY on all things that you mention except this,

can you briefly describe what and how did they do the "syncho" of the fuel injection and idle speed tuning?

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Think its like syncho air mix or something... Connect 4 tubes to the engine and some hand held equipment. Tune the engine to level the readings from the 4 cyclinders.

This was what they did the last time. I wasnt there this time. I usually leave the bike at HL and go back to office.

Is this the same as the procedure described as "Throttle Body Synchronization" here...?? It seems as easy/difficult as changing spark plugs - just that you have to have that tool. Anyone got one in SG?

Did you see whether they tune using the trottle valve screw or air screw?

Manual says use air screw but thats sometimes impossible!

What have you found to be the best way to strap soft luggage (eg. a soft gym bag) onto the factory luggage rack? It's strong, but not very big so I'm trying to plan how to strap a bag on there. Do you use elastic bungee cords, or other kinds of straps?

Here's y?

(FE 900 E) E = 5th letter of the alphabet

so number to buy is = 5900

5000 + 900 = 5900

Hi all FJR Fellowships,

It's been a long time that we last meet up. Terry, Glen, Jason, BG and myself (FJR- Phuket trip riders) are planning for another ride up this April 2006.

We are planning to ride up during the water Songkan festival-Phuket 2006. We will be very glad, if any one of you guys would like to participate this coming event.

The requirement is pretty simple..

1. Team player

2. Enduring of long halls ride.

3. Always adopt riding is fun policy

4. Ride a FJR , ha ha ha.

We don't have any "indian chief" in our ride. We always stick to "majority wins" policy.

The itineary will be out in March 2006. Kindly please Pm me if you're keen.

Ride safe all! Thailand is calling you.........
