so have u done the transfers etc???

Nope not yet..transferring tmr at 2pm..the seller was honest enuff to alert me of the minor leak and was even willing to spilt cost wif me when he could hv just act blur and hope that I dun find out before receiving the final payment.

That's what I really call an honest, reliable and trustworthy seller!

Kudos to him! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Made me realise $ is not the most important thing when selling direct to buyers and that we should take care of fellow bikers. In a sort of way, motodiams dun even get the chance to 'ker-tuk' us of our hard earned $. Plus GST, agreement fees etc are all crap!

Nvm if dun give us good deals...we can always depend on fellow bikers to get the bike we wan within our budget! :cheer:

Aiyo why so stuck up? Bikers trust the shop that's why wanna give their biz to ya..why must turn them away? Even if really cannot cope, at least reject politely lah. Surely that's not the way to do biz right?

A mechanic may be good but 'one hill always got one hill higher'...

Where got consumer macham 'beg' to give their biz one! If I ever encounter such things, wun even bother to think bout visiting the shop again! :cheer:

Manage to find this 1 & only branch in JB already :weep: Distance is only 25km from 2nd link, no need to go Ayer keroh R&R :cheer:

Just replaced the tensioner assembly at HL. For info, here's the breakdown:

Tensioner Assembly = $80

Gasket = $10.80

Service = $60

(above exclude GST)

The mechanic oso adjusted the TPS (or is it the TBS) for me.

When i strated the bike, the rpm dip below 1,000 after warm up.

Goes back to 1,000 after running for a while.

Need to observe whether this is normal.

Otherwise may need to do some synchonisation again.

Hi Chung, can i enquire that the very common "tick tick" sound that comes from a FJR is due to the Tension Assembly?? Pls advice... thanx! :cheeky: :thumb:

I guess it could be.

Ashenz commented on it before.

For my case it wasnt really the tick tick sound lah.

Cant explain, just sound like someting is loose.

According to HL the spring in the tensioner assembly is subject to wear & tear.

Faulty tensioner assembly may affect timing.

But i din notice change in fuel consumption.

Why are people who ride motorcycles called bikers and people who ride bikes called cyclists?

ADVICE & RECOMMENDATION

I need a shop to do bodywork on my FJR. A bus knocked over my bike while it was parked. Luckily, it was at my workplace so we know the bus company and they said to get quote and let them know. Where can I go to get a quote/fixed/replaced?

Damage:

- Bad scratches on fairing and saddlebags. No structural damage, just paint.

- Minor scratches on right indicator and ventura protector

- Moderate scratches on right exhaust and right side of front-fork

Appreciate your advice! Thanks.

Get a quote from Yamaha agent in spore? My opinion, inorder to get it restored to the best it can be, go to where it came from? Anyway you are not paying.. And its clearly the drivers fault. o_O

Ong & Son

- Minor scratches on right indicator and ventura protector

Replace if really cannot tahan loh. Think right indicator can get from AM or HL and DIY.

- Moderate scratches on right exhaust and right side of front-fork

Exhaust can approach SK. Right side of front fork think better to bring to a reliable shop and ask them check the alignment first. Scarly the alignment bengkor :cheeky: Then never claim from the bus company, next time discover too late liao, they sure wun admit one.

My 2cents worth. :D

The rpm dipped below 500 and bike stall after warm up cycle.

Brought the bike back to HL today for synchonisation.

They adjusted the throttle position sensor (TPS) for me.

Will have to observe again for next two days.
