Sorry for the late reply, I had been to the BikeTech21 and they quoted me $296 for the bracket, $409 for the Junior 45L top box. I had asked a few FJRian and they told me that the box & brackets cost around $500, I am very confused.

Hey buddy, how do we know which one is street legal? Is it by the db after installation, or is there something like the helmets where they have to certify it (I guess this is not gonna happen for our fjrs)? I found this link on ebay with decent shipping ($60) price to singapore.

it must be certifed by law or Lta. They test by the db n emission of the pipe. Some of the pipe sound may be loud but db is low. N need a 3rd party lab to justify so called cert to prove that this is street legal for this particular bike model then when send for inspection. Their side must have record of this cert whether is it approved or not. Very fussy on the proccess normal when buy the pipe just ask whether is it street legal or not will be easy

I have a technical question,

 

the fjr battery is 12V 13A,

the DC socket is 12V with 3A fuse,

 

my air compressor is 12V with 10A fuse. When I plug it into the socket, I blew my socket fuse. But if I use alligator clips and hook up to the battery, won't I blow the compressor fuse?

 

If I remove the compressor fuse, will I kill the battery?

 

Anyone face this before? help?

I asked motormorld about two brothers pipe before. They said its not LTA compliant because of the word 'RACING' on the pipe. Racing = loud DB, non steet legal use etc. Bro. just get a legal pipe. If not, you cannot ride peacefully in Singapore road. If you are involved in a traffic accident, there may be other complicated issues at hand.

 

Unless your FJR is only meant for malaysia ride. Then all is cool.

If u are to use the air compressor with ur socket, ur socket will CONFIRM blow..

 

A simple solution to this is just change ur ciggy socket FUSE to 10A instead. The current amp used for our socket is only 3A.

In case u dun know where the fuse is, its located at the right panel in the fuse box..there's a couple of fuse on it but i can't exactly describe which one. The mechanics who always do touring bikes will know.

Btw the 10A fuse only cost $2.50 lah (if i remember correctly).

I had tot abt it, den did some research on the overseas FJR threads.. most of them advise against it cos it could overload the wiring n burn it..

 

Anyone here replaced the 3A with a 10A before? any feedback? If dat wiring burn, big prob ar.. blardy thing connected to the harness..
