Quick question, anybody has issues with their support pillion footrest before? The small L shaped one after the main pillion footrest.

Mine broke off due to rust and the curve end (Right side facing the bike).. Didnt know that could actually happen. Might be due to the fact that its aluminium and it keeps bending down each time my pillion rest her foot on it.

that night i ask my fren for jumper..tried connecting to his bike z1000 batt..

but still cant on..guess my fjr thinks he is too big for z1000..hahha..

 

so i ask my bro to push start the bike..

while on 2nd gear..

miracle-ly..it starts..!!woohoo..

so i bring it for a quick ride to charge the batt..

 

the next day it on just fine...=)

 

the moral of the story..

don't try to push start alone..

its damn power consuming...=P

thats not very healthy to your battery. its draining a lot. try changing your spark plugs to hotter types

Are u using normal spark plugs? if yes, try iridium type DENSO or NGK.. I dun know abt the new twin iridium spark plugs though brought in by OWS.

My worst was 15km/ltr.... Nv fall below that.

 

Now averaging at 18km/ltr... which method did you use to measure your FC? Read off from the screen?

I wait till the reserve meter lights up , mileage run is arnd 290km , then pump full tank abt 21L , so after dividing , i get arnd 13.8km/l .

 

Could it be i m in the running in stage so consume more petrol ?

 

The displays shows my average fuel mileage at 43 mpg which after conversion is arnd 12km/l.

just to share..

 

after all the start up hiccups, i decided to change my engine oil n a few stuff..

$313 PACKAGE(unique motors)

• NGK Iridium Spark Plugs

• AGIP Tec 4T 15w50 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil

• Oil filter(free upgrade to KNN)

• Radiator flush + Engine Ice

• OWS 210 Engine Flush

• OWS 220 Engine Protector

• OWS 360 Gas Treatment

 

the feeling is much more different then just changing the oil..

apart from the pocket a little sore..the engine runs smoother..

i hope my mileage will improve..as previously worst case can reach 14km/l.. =(

if not...next mth need to tune power commander..

 

btw, i've check with the maintenance..

my batt has not been changed since GOD knows when..

he said the batt still can charge when riding..but won't be able to store most of the current..

its a miracle that it has lasted 5yrs+..

i guess my pocket will have blisters soon...
