I enquire about the Carbon...need to wait for a month if I'm not wrong, currently no stock..if you happen to source it, pls share...I may change as well..2 changing at the same time should be cheaper ya??

Any bros wanna change exhaust together???? can nego for cheaper price..

i might do it after my possible touring trip in april... will let u know, but if u really itchy then u can get first, haha~

my friend told me that he spent about 700SGD going to pattaya and back, not including hotel.

petrol nowadays so expensive ah??? i don't remember spending that much last time!

I am planning to ride up to chiang mai in april and i need some ballpark figures for a trip there and back... not including hotel because i have accomodation at chiangmai and i will stay at my usual place in bkk. will find a hotel between SG and bkk too.

Bro, you go during Songkran period?? Can join u? You may perhaps calculate 1st leg to Chiangmai from Spore is @800km to Hatyai, @800km to BKK then @800 to Chiangmai..2400/300 = 8 x $35 = $280.

ok, so for a return trip it will be $600+, macam air ticket to chiang mai with SQ

i'm looking at 11-22 april. reach BKK 12th

i will only go to chiangmai after songkran period... which is 16, because my friend will be free then to entertain me.

my return date is quite flexible lah, because i am self employed. i might return later depending on how long i plan to chill out at bkk or chiangmai.

the exhaust can go up later, i just bought the bike and i am fixing it up with other minor stuff.

then i'll put aside money for the trip.

then when i get back from the trip i'll upgrade the pipe after i put aside some money for it.

the next trip i'm looking at will be november - december but that one i will probably visit my friend at petchabun before going to chiangmai... but countdown definitely at bkk!

i'm going alone because of my flexibility, but i don't mind joining riders if we are all heading up together. after that i'll just break away and do my own stuff.

great, will update about the possible trip here~

i just need to get my bike first... i don't even know which day next week the shipment will arrive.

Hullo guys,

Me just got back from my 1st trip on my fjr to the "Land Of Smiles" ! It was a very nice ride up to koh samui . Weather was fine n it never rain when I was on the road from spore all the way to koh samui . The only bad part is from rawang all the way to the bukit merah r&r . . . it was extremely foggy ! I passed the route @ 4am . . . Visibility was not more than 40 meters .

Anyways, for my trip experience . . . I had use my top box to carry some tools n foot pump as my side box was almost full . The bad thing abt top box is that it gets very unstable at speeds above 180 km/h cos of wind resistance n cross wind . Even at the gurun corners to go at high speed oso very shaky . Fuel consumption on the fjr was very good !

On my next trip up . . . I will try not to use my top box but just strap a backpack on the rear seat.

Have a good day ahead guys !

why not get a tank bra and a tank bag?

that bag can be big enough to store a full face helmet.

and at least the bag is in front of you, so there won't be much drag at the back.

or is there a reason for not getting a tank bag that i still haven't experienced? lol~

it feels like i am getting a FJR for the first time!

i took out all my touring stuff... the suit, the saddlebag liners, the tank bag, the full face helmet... to try them on.

i can still fit in it easily!

I know that feeling bro. It feels like suddenly there is fresh life flowing through your veins again. I had stopped riding in Oct 2009, and restarted in Dec 2010. The feeling was very rejuvenating when I took out all my riding gear and started cleaning and dusting them. Hitting the road on two wheels is just awesome and being on 4 wheels can never match up to it.

bro come join me ride fjr1400 lahhh..

Haha, I don't know enough abt GTR yet to fall in love with it, bro. Still in love with the FJR. I had been wooing that bike for a whole year before I finally bought my 1st FJR 3 yrs plus ago.

I miss the land of the smiles, though I'd only rode up there once before with bros in this forum. 2011 should see me clocking my 2nd ride up there.
