46th Time at Planet!

Went to Planet because my Headlights and Signal lights all K.O in the rain on the way back from Thailand.

 

Ah Chong asked what happened.

I told him headlight blow signal light also, might be short circuit. :(

 

Ah Chong said, headlight still have or not ? SiKaLee is "No HeadLight!" :lol:

When he took out the headlight, the glass all shattered. No wonder no light.... :sian:

 

Put in new bulb immediately got light. :smile:

 

Then Troubleshoot Signal light no light.

First thing Ah Chong did was Changed Relay. Got light, but slow response. So I wanted an LED Relay/condenser. Went all over the block to find. $25. Then DIY fix, ONLY 1 Side can flash! :cry:

 

Ah Chong see do liao laugh. Told me rear signal light spoil already, so went to motor world to buy. $40 I bargain until $35.

DIY fix and included DIY fuses. :smile:

 

Fuses and clips Ah Chong gave me FREE! :clap:

 

Total paid only $8 for the headlight bulb.

 

Over at Planet also met B_E_N, HamsterWhale and Vidak. :D

Thanks B_E_N for the Black Tape. :thumb:

 

But then hor.... .... waited for you guys to go lunch wait until dinner time still haven't go.... Wah Piangzzz :faint:

47th time at Planet

Mood: I love my Planet!!!! :cheer:

 

Went there just for change of engine oil for my Phantom! Today Planet was as usual super packed.

 

So packed until cannot go in.

 

While waiting met a Phantom rider who say his bike got sound and sudden lost of power when on expressway. When he checked the oil, only the tip of the stick got oil! :eek:

 

Think he need to overhaul already. Somemore told me he usually change oil at 5000km. Once he changed oil at 8000km :eek: Gasp!

 

When it's my turn to change oil, Ah Chong told me to go in, so being the obedient boy... Muahahaha!!! :lol:

I went all the way in, squeezing left and right between bikes until I was just in front of the table. :lol:

 

Then Ah Chong got one of the kup that finished servicing out, and ask me to reverse. So I reversed and reserved all the way until I was at the gate where the Kup was! :lol:

 

The mech that serviced my bike was Ah Guan, the new Plump Malaysian Mech. Very steady. Saw the China guy there too, he looks very pale wonder if he was sick.... :confused:

 

Anyway paid my $10 to Ah Chong's daughter! :D

 

Before leaving I saw a box that was just delivered to Planet. It reads, metal hook cannot use, on the other end it reads, sky & earth cannot use.... WTH that means everything also cannot use! Muahahahaha! :lol:

 

I love my Planet!!!! :cheer:

how much does planet charge for service of fork oil for s4? tot of going there tomorow mrng to do it n change my chain too.. n buy rockoil oso..

asked him to check my bike b4 going for a trip last 2 wks.. serviced brakes change eo etc.. asked him to check my plugs too.. he claimed was ok and bike was fit to go...

 

Alas at the end of the trip, my plugs were busted, it crumbled to pieces, ah chong claimed that it was the plugs fault.. a well known 3 letter brand and said shldnt have used that plug as he even dunt sell it. Nw my bike needs to be overhauled as the top block suffered blows from the spoilt plugs... amts to almost 1K

 

my dissappointment is that the mech said he didnt take out the plugs b4 my trip to check on it just start up to hear if the plugs were ok... )(*&^%$@#$% if he really physically checked the plugs and i know dat it was that particular brand, wld have insisted to have it changed.. nw instead of a mere $30 to change plug i have to fork out a bloody 1K.

 

this may sound like a bad review but irony my bike nw is at planet for overhaul haha.. shrugs who's to be blame? sheer luck...

Doubt it was changed at Planet..If I'm correct the brand being referred to is one of those brands I don't trust as well..:cool:

 

On a sidenote..Is planet open for business tomorrow? :sweat:

i kinda just gt the bike early this yr and haven changed the plugs b4 dats y i was unaware of what plugs was in the bike...

 

well didnt blame planet fully lah.. mebbe my fault didnt insist on changing the 3 letter purple colour brand... bt still.. they cld have checked it physically what since dat was what i told em to do..

 

panjang the senior mech, the tall one.. he gt so many names de lah...

tall guy? i can only think of ah peng, the guy who is very "colorful" with his words. he is a very skilled mech if you ask me.

 

cannot be NGK la, they are a proven manufacturer of spark plug leh...

hmm...about this particular brand...never really heard of it until I saw some adverts of it on the Moto Culture Asia(MCA) mag.

Well, in one of the thread, someone mentioned it is actually a locally made or badged product.

Personally, I would still stick to the brands I normally used, like NGK or Denso for plugs. And Maxima for E.O.

 

Has anyone heard of the other locally made spark plug that broke also? I think it was some time ago.

Heard from Ah Chong, he DIY a tool to take out the screwed plugs. The damage done to the engine probably would have cost the owner quite a bit... :(

 

Locally made does not mean it is not good. But I rather stick with 'branded' stuff when it comes to my bike.

Sometimes its just plain unlucky lah bro...just think of it at least it is 1K 'only. But what to do, right? Rather than the whole engine gone case. *touch wood*

 

I saw your AT a few days ago at Planet.

At the time, a Hayabusa was having its plugs taken out also, the same brand.

 

At Planet, sometimes they are forgetful. When I was there, a Super 4 just finished servicing and about to go, when the owner saw a spanner still on the bike. hohoho!!!!

I once rode off with the fuel **** in off position. Ride halfway, no fuel. haha...

Another time, the fuel line was not connected. :faint:

Planet still crowded as ever...

 

Now, the ubi area abit better after the road works are done. Wider roads, and the ramp/ slope up the bikeshops are gone.
