53th time at Planet!

09/04/2010

02:20pm

weather: Overcast

mood:Sian...

Went over to Planet to recharge the DR's battery, and to tune the fuel:air ratio setting because of backfiring.

Ah Chong charge battery charge very long, charge until I fell asleep!

From 02:20pm until 04:15pm. Can see he very busy do didn't rush him to retune the setting. Then when he finally free, he said the battery going to explode liao!

Then I also took out the spark plugs and ask him if they still can use. The spark plug was totally black. Like coated with black powder.

So Ah Chong Gave me 2 plugs change myself. After that.... Cannot start!!!!

Don't know why, so take out the plugs again then put back then the engine like "Ai Mai, Ai Mai" like that, so I ask Ah Chong on throttle immediately the engine roared to life!

Then he tuned for me, turns out the old setting was off, one side 3 the other side 6, so he tuned it to middle range for both, but on the way back still back fire alot leh!!!

Going to ask him how to tune, next time, then I ownself tune.

Not 100% satisfied this time, but super cheap! Only charge me $10 for the plugs. :)

Charging batt was FREE!!!

KNN, still can tell me must charge at least $100 because charge battery very long, very expensive!

Then before I left Ah Chong still insisted on helping to push my bike out, said it's the least he can do... soooo touched... :weep:

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

Ah ha! You know what that means?

You haven't really know him yet... He's actually a very funny and friendly guy.

This is just my personal opinion. I think he handles his stress very well. Look at the amount of bikes that are waiting for him to deal with. And look at the number of phone calls he has to pick up. Despite all that, I never catch him talking to a single customer rudely ever for all these years. He can still laugh and joke around.

I think the sales personnels working in Singapore shopping centres should learn from him. Sometimes... just because the shopping centre has a lot of customers, the sales personnels will show their temper and speak rudely to their customers.

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

yes, chong is a nice guy la, like to talk c0ck and joke around, but if you know him well enough, you know when he is in a bad mood, his facial expressions shows and the way he talks is slightly different from usual...

but hey, he keeps a cute cat as pet now, usually it is lying on his desk or on the chair near the desk... seems quite lazy to me, everytime im there i always see it resting or sleeping... hahaha.

54th time at Planet!

17/04/2010

10:17am

weather: Sunny

mood: impatient

I was at my beautiful Planet again! But this time was to change the engine oil for my Phantom. 2057 km travelled. It was a rush job because, I was going on a study date later, and I really is self service and there were alot of people!!! Die lah!

DIY, Take container put below the bike and engine oil from the shelf, and realised it was the last can of NASA engine oil. Then take spanner tried to open the cover, but it slipped and I dare not do again. Besides I don't want to show up with dirty fingernails later! So Ah Chong helped me open then complain the oil spill on his hand very hot. :p

But everything was done in less than 10 mins, outside the shop, including payment. Before I left I also asked Ah Chong about the DR's tuning, turns out I have to unwind the screw out more to get more air in to adjust the fuel:air ratio.

PS: I saw another P.K when I was there, but didn't have time to chat, only gave him a nod and went off. Sorry!

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.
