Hmmm.. Guys, i got a question to ask. If i bring my bike to my own bike shop and i ask the mechanics to change the showa oil inside the canister. Will the bike shop send to certified workshop to do or they just open up the canister and change the a new oil ? Must i really leave my bike there for few days ? Has anyone done it before ? Cos i'm bringing my bike to re-build my rear suspension tml.

 

For the front suspension, the mechanic just need to top up the oil to balance both fork can liao rite ? fast and easy task ?

Answer is No, I dont think any normal bike shop does it.

Call bikelab.

 

for front fork, have to change the seal, drain and balance in fresh fork oil.

depend on the mechanic. usually takes few hours included partial waiting time.

fat_di, how do i know if my bike shop really send my showa suspension to certified mechanics to do re-build it ? is there any way i can know ? and how i know is my front fork is balanced ? pls guide me. I'm the guy @ 2nd link during the makan cum testing trip who u said my tires very weird one. Hope u remember me.

hi bro...for sure i rem you...the only way to know is if i can have a look at yr bike...does the front forks bottom out when you brake really hard...does the bike wobble inside turns???is the rear suspension spring at maximum preload???anyway how much dexing quote you for tires???sportec M1...

i think front fork add harder oil better , s4 front fork abit on the soft side

so can say that you are trained in italy right?

since bikelab is trained in usa for their suspension work...

how much are you charging for a pair of super 4 rear suspension?

the canister for the rear suspension inside use oil ar? i tot use pressurise air? i juz service my rear suspension the mech actually put nitrogen gas at 200 psi in my canister.now riding no more bumpy more comfy!

most r black...but some changed it mah...so theres silver...red..n black loh.

i think dpds on the year of the bike

for earlier plates eg. FT, it is black

but for later plates eg. FU, it is red

the first batch, FR, is confirmed black. later batch, FS FT FU FV, is red.

only got red black n silver depending on batches. just take note of the number plate can liao.

Hmm can i ask if Spec2 & Spec3 springs compatible? How much to change? Or how much to spray? Cosmectically i think black S4 with Red shocks look nicer.

Stock new Shocks cook up to cool 800++ bro.....(thats why our "frens" across the causeway like to "borrow" our shocks for exchange of Cold Hard Cash)

 

FR platers come with Black 1st batch of Vtecs...

Subsequent Hyper Vtecs ones come with red..

Rest are history... as of what u see now....
