what's done cannot be undone!

I should say the insurance should not be counted into the total price you pay. The price quote in the forum by private seller usually does not include insurance and transfer fee. Insurance + transfer fee can easily add up to a few hundreds. For my case about 500++ (2nd party).

In addition, usually after you got you bike from private seller, you will need to spend at least another few more hundreds servicing the bike. You never know what had been done to it previously.

Put yourself in the seller position, would you spend a few hundred dollars sevicing your bike just to sell it to another person. A honest and sincere seller will do, but sadly not all ppl around are.

FYI, I spent more than a thousand on servicing after I got my spec1. Things I have to change & service.

- Pair of tyres ($280)

- EO ($88)

- Oil Filter ($15)

- K&N Filter ($65)

- Spark plugs ($40)

- Carb wash & tune ($80)

- Carb float needle ($80)

- Coolant flush ($30)

- Stainless steel brake hose & installation ($220)

- Brake pads front & rear ($75)

- Service calipers front & rear ($60)

- Brake pump kit ($45)

- Calipers O-rings front & rear ($126)

Total damage - $1204

Hope after reading this, you will feel much better!

if u r getting from the shop, its the same as ur other bikes... or get a friend who is experienced to go with u... to prevent the chopper...

1) Brake pad

2) Tyres condition

3) Overall outlook

4) Engine sound

5) If can go for a test ride

6) Check if the bike dies off while idling

Best is ask someone who rides S4 to accompany go...

Actually S4 is quite a good bike, nothing much one... =)

Sold mine to bikeshop at 6k. FV plate fully stock..

SO i think he will sell back at 7k "machine price" that is without insurance..

So if ur fren ask u take over, u should calculate the total price u shoudl pay without the insurance must be around 6 to 6.5k then i think its worth it..

Anything higher, better go to bikeshop..

sold ur bike already huh for 6k hmm kinda good price huh ... Smelling a different kind of smoke

I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.
