I'm getting an old Joyride soon. Engine is good but paintwork is terrible. Even all the plastic is faded.

Can anyone recommend place to spray the whole bike, including the plastic parts? Also, if can give me an idea of roughly how much it will cost, i will be grateful.

Thanks!

Bro, those unpainted plastic part not recommended to spray paint. Can use engine oil or wd40 or other lubricant also can. Spray over and let the lub soak it overnight. wipe lightly if you need to ride the bike the next day if not leave it on as long as you can. After a few times, those plastics should be like new. You will regret spraying paint over unpainted plastics as they will crack and flake after a while.

I was reading some of the earlier posts and was thinking of going to botak to service but wasn't sure if he could help about a paintjob. Since he has lobang, I'll make it a point to go to his shop to get it done. Thanks!

Especially for sun -faded plastics as long not cracked. Initially you will need to coat it for a few times, but after that just maybe once in a while to mantain.

Many will call me an adventurer - and that I am, only one of a different sort: one of those who risks his skin to prove his platitudes

Brothers and Sisters...

I am closing this thread down....

Might put up a stickies title is something like

"Recommended Bike Retail, Servicing and Repair Companies"

That thread will become a read-only thread...

anyone as and when someone has good experience with any shop

can put details and address of the shops, that's all...

To avoid any allegations, leave the bad encounters to PMs and TCS when we meet for kopi or during meetups...i could allow the some shout-out in the TCSS thread, but voice it out at ur own risk...its is not the responsibility of the forum ;)

What i am trying to do is to minimise misunderstandings between us and shops and also to the newbies....u know, less trouble = more members, more meetups, more events, more rides = more happy riders, more knowlegable riders...

guys...i give this thread till this week end...

got any pointers or advice for me, put it down here... ;)

how's the read only thread is going to b like?

ur own review? or the members previous review?

to me, it will b best to change the title than clearing it cos its review from forumers tat went to the shops on how they feel abt the svc & anyone can put it up dun have to b the the few shop tats always mention ard. cos there might b some hidden dragon ard but was not reviewed.

Shop Owners & forumers, i'm not siding any of the shop or anyone here.

to wat i understand, forum is created for any discussion, anyone can bring up any thing unless sensitive issue tat might arouse law & regulations or arguement started.

in tis i dun really see a point to clear it. & wif whose review for juz a read up only thread up on sticky later on?

nobody can do tat unless he/she have many experience on repairing & he went to review it through a well plan survey. btw, tis is too far for us to do tat & its going according to how we feel rite here.

i myself run ard bikeshop looking for good budget & svc.

if i feel they r doing a good job i will go back there.

one experience recently, i got my brakepads change @ one of the kaki bt bikeshop & only to realise my rear calliper need to svc, the mech waited & show me how it got jam & i eventually ask him to go ahead & he did a good job. i'm going back there for sure to do my brakes again nxt time.

if anyone have any issue abt wat i post i'm up for discussion wif PM or can come out for a cup of kopi. Buzz me @ 98778393.

lets not mess tis thread up. cheers.
