2007 ASIA NATIONS OF ROAD RACING IN JAPAN - TSUKUBA CIRCUIT

http://www.mfj.or.jp/user/contents/race_result2007/road_race/2007result/rd03/uam.html

I have the following questions that perhaps, many SMSA members here would also ask:

a. There is such a thing as "Team Singapore"?

b. How is selection done?

c. Why aren't younger, promising local riders given the opportunity to race against young riders from other Asian nations?

d. How long has this series been going on?

e. And what are SMSA's plans for next year?

Would SMSA care to comment? Team Singapore's result is embarassing, to say the least. :(

Wilairot from Thailand is a 250cc MotoGP rider...no suprise he won.

And he's known as the fastest Thai racer! I have been following him with interest, and glad he has been doing pretty well.

I think there's no selection. As long as you got racing licence from our SMSA,

you can go any asia country to race...& you represent S'pore. Did i mention you gotta pay for everything? kekeke

Hi,

Our team did not come in last in this event.

The UAM Asia nations of road racing was organised by MFJ for Rd. 1 and we all received the news at the very last minute, hence no chance to do selection for the best riders.

The bikes used are not SBK, but 150cc CBR engines in a GP chasis. All one make, all same modifications.

Why we take part in this event is because of the participation and support of motorsports events.

Rd 2 and Rd 3 are coming soon. It will be held in Indonesia.

If u think u are the best of the best, u may list your name and contact no heree, so that i'll contact u and do selection for interested participants to take part in the event.

Bro, we take riders who are in the expert class in our national event, ie, Our kallang cub prix.

Why Esmon got to ride is because many of the riders who we wanted to choose are not available to ride for this event. Ppl like Ryhan, Kelvin Chia,,, etc.

this are people in my opinion whom may have given a better result....whether they will do it is another question.

no disrespect to peter and esmond, who are great riders. and get this results in short notice. personally, i have not seen these guys training on similar machines in Johor or Sepang. as u say, short notice.

but they represented team singapore(thats what the results say), and we must produce better results.
