Hi, guy, if i'm not wrong the other day i jus read on a mag,

 

comparing K5, R1, ZX10, ZX12, CBR1000RR, Busa

 

Say that R1 have to highest weight/horse power,

 

which mean R1 by spec is the fastest for 05 series,

 

ZX12 lose to R1 05 and K5 by spec, i see the spec i also knock out,

 

ZX12 is only abit higher then CBR1000rr05

 

Which mean more petrol uses but less power,

 

since ZX12 lose liao than don need to see the ZX10 liao,

 

And R1 top is 186mph (310Km/h true speed (+ - some wind speed))

 

Busa top is 189mph, (315km/h true speed (+ - some wind speed)) but weight/horse is lower then R1

 

mean only till top speed then busa can win R1, which mean Busa cannot win R1,

 

because we don get much chance to reach top speed, plus the different to only 3mph, (5Km/h)

top speed for most bikes are "touch & go" meanin tat the 05 R1 can go 315km/hr but can onli hold tat speed for a while onli..... haya can go 310km/hr but can maintain tat speed for as long as the rider can take it.....

 

reason being is tat the bikes made n design for different purpose.....

 

the 05 R1, K5, zx10 & cbr1 are all track bikes.... so more focus on acceleration, mid range power, handling....

 

hayabusa & zx12 are high speed tourers.... so more focus on mid range, high speed stability, endurance......

 

so when comparing bikes, we must take into consideration abt the type of bikes, and the purpose of the bike......

 

also testing top speed of bike are done at lab condition, sometin like a dyno run test.... the bike's front wheel clamp wif rear wheel on the test roller..... of cos can tell the top speed of the bike, if given for rider to test, its a different story altogether, due wind, road condition & rider skill, the true top speed cant be reached.....

 

i am juz addin some more facts for sharing...... not meant for offence pple...... :thumb:

anywa , in order to rate a bike , i think best is to ask someone who have nvr ridden the 4 1000cc bikes to ride them back to back . maybe try them at a circuit . tis is the best way liao .

can hv a fast bike but is the rider fast enuf? :cheeky: so it oso depends on how the rider handles the bike i think.........my 2 cents worth

it's up to each individual of the rider....maybe the rider who rodes a GxisR well does not mean he or she can handle the Real Power of an R1.......:sweat:

i can't believe gixer got the 2nd spot when in fact the zx-10 tops in best lap times. 04R1 being in the second spot. overall R1 tops in its class in almost all category in most all magazines here in the states. now what would the new 05 GSXR 1000 do for the year 05 ...ummm

Well, some other mags named the ZX-10 the top dog of the year. And some mags heaped lotsa praises on the CBR1000. And some, the R1. The mags are also saying that the K4, despite it being "old", is still a good fight for the 04 bikes. And when the K5 comes out, it will up the ante again.

 

 

 

Thing is, we all have our opinions, and magazines are no different, having human editors/writers with their personal bias/likes/dislikes.

 

That's why I maintain that all the bikes are good. They have to be! They're the product of the Japanese "Big 4", who've had decades of experience making and racing bikes.

 

Finally, it all comes to the individual. Which bikes makes you feel good? :lovestruck:
