Legally, the bike is still yours so if you cannot give and take with this friend of yours, find out why he has not paid you this month's installment, then by all means, take back your bike... :goodluck:

You're still the main rider, if you have the spare key, by all means, go take the bike back. If you don't have the spare key, tow the bike back.

What report you want to make? If default payment report, you want to engage lawyer to claim from your friend? If theft report, not reasonable cos you willingly put your friend as a sub-rider so that gives him the right to ride the bike...

i guess the relationship between the both of u is not that great till the extend.

i'll go to his place, see the bike, ride back, than wait for his call.

if the bike's not there i'll wait at his home till he comes back.

this kinda issue is really sensitive, and can be very worrying, since u dunno what to expect.

Hi All,

the problem is he dun have a house phone. then i dun have your excat address, i only know his block no.

anyway, i just take the bike back. the guy still never on his HP. and i found out that the right rear signal is broken, front fork oil seal also broken, fork leaking oil. and found his passport inside the bike compartment also.

hope he will contact me 2molo. if he never contact me 2molo, i tink he dun wan the bike anymore already.

BUT.. if he still want the bike, should i insist on transfering ownership?

what you guys will do if you were me?

pls advise.

Do u guys have any agreement at the 1st place? If the bike is at the carpark, Chances that he's at home is high.. U shd just go to his house and check.. Surely someone will be home unless he's living alone.. Ask his parent where he is.. If answer from them is dun noe, Just ride e bike home.. Pay the installment also.. U r the legal owner btw.. So if he play punk, u can do that too..

yep thats right... in agreements like that there should be a minimum level of mutual trust and understanding. sadly, seems like he is a pretty shoddy owner of the bike from the way u described the current state of the bike.

if i were u and the bike had been well taken care of by me, i'll give him 2 choices. pay in full(if he wants ownership) else i'll take back the bike. give and take a bit based on his current situation, he might have met up with an accident etc.

wah, bike abuser... I'll never share my precious with anyone unless it is super cheap like... kapkia. lols~*

you're safe now juz keep the bike with you hahas~ And since you have his passport, there is no way but he'll have to call you and face the music. A broken trust takes time to heal also...... And cheap apologies with insincerity does not worth to be trusted once again!!! lols~*

if you love your bike.... keep it.

Always make sure that Ownership is transfered. No worth the money you might save by adding subrider. If assume he got court speeding by speed camerra the fine will go to registered Owner (i.e. yourself) unless he admited that he was the rider at that time. If he refuses to do so then you have to prove that in fact he was the rider of that offence.

Difficult to prove that, isn't it?

That not only applies for speeding but for any offence that he is not stoped by traffic police on the spot to verify his IC. Adding subrider is VERY risky.

Cheers

thats right.. the best alternative, given that he has no means to pay in full, is still to have a written agreement btw the both of you. you can get a lawyer to draft one for $100+ or simply do it yourself.
