hi all senior zeng-ers =P well, okay i got an idea that i been thinking of for a while now but not sure if its a good idea, or do-able at all? so just wanna throw it on the floor, and seeing you all have a lot of exp in this matter, can get your inputs?

 

Okay first up, I ride a basic Phantom, the custom 4 edition, and i want it to be special. it is black with chrome all still shiny cause i polish weekly, and also a standard zeus 42l box.

 

the mod "theme" is actually like a Search and Rescue heli? Cause i was from air force supporting a medical squadron, and i remember one night, this super puma came back from a sar mission and on the run way, see it with the spot lights, and landing lights and the squardron logo on the side was kind of like a wow... and i want to transfer that image to my bike, not sure if its doable, but could sure use your inputs, if need to meet up, first round (of coffee and milo and tea, no alcohol cause if drink don't ride) on me.... =P Results not needed, just ideas...

 

Basically i was thinking of retaining the factory black standard, but doing a crash bar, with two spot lights, and maybe respray the box? add the squardron logo or something as well? Cause also like a tribute to the airforce? Ya.. i am that nuts and patriotic about my ns days which i really enjoyed for better or for worse...

 

sooo... yeap, or if you think its retarded, do let me know =P

the logos cn be made into stickers... Spot lights mux c hw u wan it, another solution is to use led lights.... I tink a respray of colours wld look more lyk a heli too.. Wld b great if u hav d pic of d heli u r tokin abt =D

well this is a possible color configuration, black and orange, the color original config is white and red, but that one looks a bit too much like ambulance, and the default color is temasek green, followed by the seas grey, i would prefer something, "growling" color.. if you get what i mean =P

 

i also think do LEd lighting or spot light, but currently leaning towards LED because spot lights will drain more power (i assume?) and i kinda don't want overload my batteries, or i could be worrying too much, forgive me, my electrical engineering is non-existent....

 

and i also thought of attaching like those kiddy windmills? by the side, to act as rear rotars, and also left red led and right green lightings, alone with just one bulb of taillight... alot of ideas, currently still circulating , and the logo, actually i thought of spraying onto the box, but looks horribly complicated

An idea.. If u look at my avatar, u can paint it orange and get a Squadron sticker instead of tattoo.

thats an idea, but perhaps i'd inverse the color, since i want the majority of the bike to still stay black =P and just the orange lines...

Hi Guys,

 

Sharing some small mods done to my TA150. The aim was not to disguise the fact that it's a Phantom, but rather to bring out it's original nature, small Honda cruiser with fast engine. Dragster. Chop as much and spend minimum. Phase 2 are in progress....

 

Looks really great.

ay? As in, raising the tank?

This was my bike wayyy back long ago whn it was quite stock.

Are you looking at the handlebar set up or the tank set up. =\

 

Both..? Imma remove my box because I'm always riding alone nowadays.

wld you consider doing up e entire bike like the latest one ive posted instead. one seater with pan seat, chopped rear fender, drag bars.

 

I like ur old one because of the cafe racer style, but i have a dent on my fuel tank :(

 

And I think I have to spray the whole bike black..?

I do have a nice stock tank sitting at home, you might consider taking it. just saying.

black is usually just the base colour for me. my aura comes within orange.

im referring to the pics that i've quoted...i think its the raised tank that makes the handlebar "lower", hence the cafe racer style.
