In SG, they simply advocate "No speeding", "No speeding", "No speeding", until you're blue in the face, asphyxiate, and vomit blood from the ears...

 

... and there is still NO campaign to tell road users to look out for less visible traffic. And that's for a country which has a larger bike population by percentile.

 

 

I guess that's meritocracy for you. The ones who pay more taxes and ERP gets the privileges.

its the users that don't signal, don't check blind spot that causes the problem. but when these problem coupled with speeding, it become even worse.

 

till now i still don't understand why there are signboards asking bikers to keep left. even worse is i got knocked down while staying on the left. dumb.

Yup, I really think that staying left all the time is not the way to go. I personally feel that going in the lane where there are no obstructions is the way to go! And... it doesn't necessarily be left all the time. It's just that as long as you don't hog the right lane all the time, you should be fine...

keep left is for slow moving vehicles, most of the time, bikers are deemed as slow moving vehicles, the funny thing is y slow moving cars/vans rd hog the first lane??? nowadays i use 3rd lane even can go faster than those on the 2nd or 1st lane, this is madness, crazy

haha ya, i see tour buses & lorries on 1st & 2nd lane and they are really fast moving!! well obviously they don't see them themselves as slow moving because they are doing way beyond their 70km/hr limit on expway!! idiots!

Today riding a cub w/o a windshield on the expressway can really feel the turbulence coming from lorries and buses.

Even when i am back on solid ground it still feels like i'm still riding through those turbulence. Its very similar to the "sea feeling" when walking on the road after a long trip on a boat.

Lass, you working at Harbourfront and riding a Gixxer? Few days back saw a lady riding a Gixxer heading towards Harbourfront direction along Telok Blangah road. The lady head towards Harbourfront while i went up the flyover towards ECP. Are you the one?

today while riding out of SGH, saw 4 idiot old ladies chatting while crossing the road slowly without using the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING. scolded them and the 4 women look like they wanted to swallow me alive. damn stupid ppl! feel like running over them!

saw a near accident just now. Aprilla Atlantic travelling in lane 3 of PIE before Lornie road towards Changi, a car just swerved from lane 2 right into it, sideswiping the scooter. Bike skidded sideways before the rider almost 90 degrees, ending up leaning against a large lorry on his left, then he recovered straight, and continued riding as if nothing had happened.

They might be expatriates working in S'pore? Well many of those people driving all of those Odysseys, Airwaves, CR-Vs, etc. are expats... I think petrol $$ shouldn't be much of an issue to them anyway... They are not humble riders like us, you know?

 

We, riders are saving the environment by using less... So it's a good thing!

Heavy rain and heavy traffic from Tpe to Cte to Aye, going at 30km/h as some biker right infront was going very slow. -.-
