The thing is since oreali in the extreme right lane, what signal u expect him to give you as he wana overtake you ?

Signal right again on lane 1 ? tapped his high beam ?

This was the issue which i was not clear about in mordecai1968's initial post. If someone is tailgating me while im in the third (extreme left) lane of the e'way, then I will get dam pissed off cos the fella can AND should dam well use the faster lanes on the right.

But isnt the 1st lane meant FOR overtaking vehicles? If they want to overtake at 150kmh and get caught by TP, then its their problem. In fact, though I prefer travelling on the 1st lane, I always check my mirrors now and then and switch to the 2nd lane if i spot a vehicle approaching fast from behind. After the vehicle(s) has passed then i'll move back to the 1st lane.

usually if i wanna overtake on the extreme right lane, i'll signal my intention using the right signal. .

Is this common practice/knowledge among road users?

I scolded the girl because she's sitting on the center lane trying to commit suicide and the guy is on the 3rd lane... and im on the 1st lane slowing down because of their arguements... what if a trailer passing by changing their radio to other channel without seeing infront 3seconds... delay? to **** em... is to make them realise how potential road hazard they are...

ok bro. understand the situation now :)

in malaysia come across some cars like that. Driving in the states, there seem to be quite a few who did the signal especially at night. tailgaters are idiots. But roadhoggers are the worst kind of scum. "its not your grandfathers road so move aside!"

taveling at 110km/h with a gray spacewagon tailing me by 1metre..... on lane 1 along sle

so i slow and blink my brakelight he still tailgate me i slow 100km/h ... he still tailgate

i slow to 90 km ....he still tail gate at 1m

fedup i slow to 70 km/h on lane 1 ...he switch 2 to overtake me on the left...i look back at him...he show me the finger.... i wack the thottle ,pace him stare at him i show him the thumb and the finger abt 1 cm diff

he back off and exit thru woodlands ave 12

HE got small dic k

some men in big cars is just plain pu55y

It's your own fault for staying in Lane 1. Regardless of 110 or 200, if someone faster is coming up. Get out of lane 1 and let him pass.

Automatic la uncle. You how old already still wanna act like 20+ youngster first year riding CL2 big bike ah? Why the attitude?

Unless you telling me he tailing you in Lane 2 or 3, then it's diff. Lane 1 leh. Still need him to signal meh? Automatic hor please.

You ever kanna 1 liter car on Lane 1 blocking you? Or M'sian bike between Lane 1 and 2 at 70kph preventing you from passing by?

How do you feel abt it?

You should have moved aside, or moved ahead faster.

But since you played games with him, seriously... if anything would have happened to you, then...

Yesterday while on the way to work in the morning... a scooter overtook me on the left side between the car I was overtaking. when there was a big space on my right.

Worst still is... he overtook at high speed giving me a shock that coz me to weave outwards... I thought I was in a race in Tuas again.

My instant reaction was snatched a fistful of throttle and started to chase him down with the intent to give him a good #$$%.

As my bike picked up speed and I closed in on the traffic weaving SOB... I gave up and slowed down.

I reminded myself that this was not the track and my life ain't worth the risk of trying to teach this SOB on how to ride safely.

I slowed down to my normal cruising speed and watched him weaving his way among the heavy morning traffic.

He will probably kill himself one of these days and there will be one lesser dangerous rider on the road.

And now that I think back about it... if I had let my emotions and ego take control of my throttle.. which it initially did... I could have gotten myself killed for nothing coz I allowed a worthless lowlife to agitate me.

Good self control bro...if give chase end up you are the one involve in an accident then it's not worth it sia...

Today i had the "pleasure" of riding to school again after a month. Travelled from hougang to clementi thru braddel, lornie and bukit timah rd. Traffic @ rush hour was terrible. Almost got killed 3 seperate occasions when cars keep moving into my lane when i am occupying the centre at high speeds.

Once by lady driver yawning

Second by a saloon car that "zhng" up, he swerved with squealing tyres when he realise he on collison course with me.

Third by goods lorry, bo beh zhao just give way.

First day of school already cursing and muttering under my breath, plus tail back was from braddel new flyover all the way to the merging 4 to 3 lane along lornie.

Reach school thank god i still alive....

I was travelling along AYE (towards Tuas) on my way home after school... on the 2nd lane

There was this car (couldn't see properly... you will see why later...) who was tailgating me so closely with his high beam light on...

It totally glared both of my side mirrors! :giddy: I couldn't see a thing... so what I did was... I just focus on the traffic ahead and went slower and slower... 2 second rule... to 3 second rule... to hazard lights!!!

Then i purposely went very slow... with my hazard lights on... after a long distance, the driver apparently lost his patience and went to the 1st lane... He gave me a middle finger and scolded me some Hokkien vulgar words (some insulting words to females)...

Really felt like shooting him down... :gun: :gun:

Though I was really pissed off, but I'm glad that I controlled my temper and continued to keep my safe distance and made my way home safely!

What a dumbass the driver is. Either doesnt know that lane 1 is for overtaking, or he really thinks he is the king of the road. Even if his mother is dying, its no reason to tailgate on the 2nd lane.

But s4^dreamer, instead of switching on your hazard lights, you sould have tapped on your brakes for a few seconds (so hopefully he will jam brake when he suddenly sees your brake lights and hopefully another car bang him from behind). After that show your middle finger.

I also dislike being in this situation. Cos we wont know whether they will cross the road all of a sudden!

Er... I did tap on my brakes relentlessly, but to no avail... :sian: Er... don't show middle finger lah... The driver is a low life... If I show my middle finger, ain't I placing myself in the same lowly status as him? I won't do that...
