Sadly with tailgaters - there's not much choice for us as bikers - either you up the juice and speed up or you move over and let the idiot pass. Option 1 - is good if you have the juice and the control - otherwise (and I normally do this) just let the fella pass. no point compromising my own safety for some idiot whose got no freaking consideration for other people. its just the mentality...sigh

 

Sometimes i find that - the bigger the car - the smaller the brain!!

The problem in this region is that the driving attitude is bad. Its like "I'm paying road tax and if I don't break the law by sitting on Lane 1 - it's my right". Overseas - they are disciplined to drive on Lane 2 and use Lane 1 for overtaking as well as emergency vehicles. Here you got slow drivers hogging Lane 1 and you ALSO have Lorries and Factory Buses taking not only Lane 3 but also Lane 2.

 

How?

 

That is correct. SG motorists should be more gracious when OTR. This have to start from somewhere, so why not start with ourselves ? Even we did meet those inconsiderate motorist that refuse to let you cut in when you need to filter out, slow down/hog overtaking lanes etc etc.

 

Since we will not be happy if we are at the receiving end, the more we should not do it. What is the point of cursing those inconsiderate pple when you are 1 of the black sheep too ?

This morning BKE-PIE intersection jam, coz of accident involving 4 vehicles in PIE.

 

As I was leaving, I saw a Super 4 being towed, anyone noes what happened? I hope the rider is ok.

 

A lot of drivers simply refuse to acknowledge bikers' presence on the road, sometimes purposely missing them when they sweep their blind spots.

 

When these car drivers check blind spot:

-See big vehicles = ball shrink-

-See car = dun cut-

-See bike = see nothing = cut-

 

How can like that wan?

This morning BKE-PIE intersection jam, coz of accident involving more than 1 vehicles.

 

As I was leaving, I saw a Super 4 being towed, anyone noes what happened? I hope the rider is ok.

 

A lot of drivers simply refuse to acknowledge bikers' presence on the road, sometimes purposely missing them when they sweep their blind spots.

 

When these car drivers check blind spot:

-See big vehicles = ball shrink-

-See car = dun cut-

-See bike = see nothing = cut-

 

How can like that wan?

 

Yeap, we are going on and on about the same thing and we are preaching to the choir.

 

Heard over the radio while riding to school that traffic over most major expressways were terrible because of accidents.

 

I went by the usual braddel lornie with the usual driver X cutting me off, driver Y moving into my lane and driver Z stopping suddenly

few days ago, luckily i was only travelling at 60. one bloodly car just cut out to move infront of one taxi then park again at roadside. nv even check behind. 2 sec only i alr behind him when he cut in. horned him of cos.

 

a week ago, one idiot van tailgate me at lane 3 then i move to lane 4 (50-60km/h). 1 sec later we stopped before traffic light and side to side. -_____- stupid a55, 60km/h alr still tailgate in the end also stop beside me.

freaking taxis....hate them....cutting into lanes abruptly...it's no wonder there are so many accidents involving taxis!!! there are also arseholes that u-turn when there's oncoming traffic....i get out at 6.45am these days but roads already full of traffic....thks to the cheaper COE, more schools but nothing done....i wrote in to one and the standard reply is monitoring....my big fat foot! each yr it gets worse....so freaking efficient!

This is a great idea... Can use as CCTV as well. Read in the new paper about "tissue box" CCTVs catch pple who scratch the car.

Then like that bike must install two batteries... should go and patent since got V TWIN ENGINE. Ours B TWIN BATTERY!

Anyway, it's all about trying our best to avoid present hazards and potential hazards!

nowadays i notice tat 99% cars r not signalling when they filter to left or right.

very rare they will signal b4 filter, worst i've seen r those filtering into expressways from third onto first lane without signalling.

these idiots seriously need a knock on the head with our helmets..last week i was travelling along commonwealth avenue west towards clementi..traffic was quite heavy and i was riding at the centre of the middle lane..then this ahpek driving a benz on the left lane directly beside me just cut into my lane like i was bloody transparent to his eyes..im freaking sure he can see me cos my position is slightly in front of the ahpek.. i couldnt speed up or slow down as there was a car in front and at the back..and he just keep on going until i haf no choice but to lane split between the middle and right lane..knn..

they are too stupid to know they have a charging system

Bikes rarely signal when they change lanes too. Just take a look around next time. Plus... they lane split.

It doesn't make sense to signal when you are actually lane splitting as the drivers won't even be able to react to your signals.

 

Talking about riding with 0% signals, JB kup chye riders are soo good at it. Their form of signal is tilting their head to the side where they want to cut across and just enter whenever there is a "lobang".

i also dun really signal much unless there is a need like when heavy traffic then i signal cos only then ppl need to notice where im going.

 

if im at a lane where the arrow points to only 1 direction, no use signal as that can be the only direction you can go. why waste batt? lol.

Signal switch I got use quite often.

 

Horn switch is something I never use. Never seem to need to use the horn.

For that matter... I don't even know what the DRZ horn sound like.

Since last week, I have been seeing poeple driving with HP almost every single day...

 

One was a young punk chatting away, won't have notice him. If he didn't drift across the dotted line straddling 2 lanes just when I was about to overtake him as we go around a curve along mandai.

 

When I saw him drifting across the line, my first thought was driver was either drinking or on the phone, true enough, he was on the phone.

 

I wag my finger in a "No No, naughty naughty!" signal, as I passed him and he started chasing me with his white WRX tailgating me. Tsk! Tsk! Must be afraid I will report him, and wanted to see my plate number.
