SparkersS1 i dun deny that i go into bus lanes at times...this bus lane thing doesn't make any farking cow sense at all...if it's anything then all gigantos like trucks and titantic MPVs should be restricted to those lanes only.

use bus lane got timing one, dun use during the 'peak' hours, play safe rather than to get summon, rest of the time can use.

 

LTA rules sometimes make no sense, during the 'peak' hours, buses use bus lane, but those big n slow vehicles use 2nd lane or even 3rd lane, really slow down the traffic n in fact making the whole situation worst, causing alot more jams.

some drivers drive as if they own the rd due to they pay abit more rd tax than riders, really make no sense, due to their stupid brain that cannot think

Yesterday

 

1) afternoon, just before 4pm at Orchard Road, around where Specialist Shopping Centre used to be, there was a 3 car pile up and a lot of motorist slowed down to take a look, despite TP waving pple on.

 

2) evening at Napier Rd, opp Tanglin Mall. was waiting for the lights to change and there came a TP on my rear right. I was a bit scared 'cos my wife was carrying a lot of things from our shopping trip. Was afraid of getting pulled over for dangerous riding. Thankfully he didn't see or else I sure get some form of summon.

 

ok, now for my turn to post somethings after 3 weeks of absence.

 

Similar to you, I still choose to take lane 1 only as an overtaking lane and cruise on lane 2 most of the time.

 

At least on Singapore roads, motorists don't tailgate you so aggressively. In M'sia, it's a totally different story! They tailgate you very closely at much higher speed!!! :giddy: So that one... better give way lor...

 

Yeah, if they tailgate you, do give way. Either way, we'll be in the losing end. A few times I tried to get into Lane 1, the car behind me jam brake 'cos I underestimate their speed.

Today while moving off, just got this bike so didn't know theres a function that when the sidestand is down, engine will die if engaged to 1st gear.

nowadays i notice tat 99% cars r not signalling when they filter to left or right.

very rare they will signal b4 filter, worst i've seen r those filtering into expressways from third onto first lane without signalling.

 

i believe many bikers dun signal too when changing lanes so without using brains and just stereotype drivers makes no sense

 

yeah u may have signal when u change lanes but i dun believe u 100% use ur signals "whenever" u change lanes...

It doesn't make sense to signal when you are actually lane splitting as the drivers won't even be able to react to your signals.

 

Talking about riding with 0% signals, JB kup chye riders are soo good at it. Their form of signal is tilting their head to the side where they want to cut across and just enter whenever there is a "lobang".

 

I agree. Now it's both male and female drivers that don't signal 'cos they're distracted talking to passengers or daydreaming.

 

I do give the benefit of the doubt of a failed signal light but when I see what the driver's doing, I know that person's very "bo chap". Maybe their child is future president

What if u just take the middle of the lane split? He at most behind rev til explode? I will do that not coz I Guai L*n, but coz I wun wan them to squeeze me like that and cause an unnecessary accident.

 

That being said, will look for nearest opportunity to let such riders pass, faster pass me better, I wanna keep a distance given a choice.

Hi bro.. as i said.. first thing comes to my mind when i saw my back got rider coming up.. (when i squeezing slowy between cars).. is to signal n give way.. but that time cars all stationary and packed up closely like "Ba Chang(Chinese dumplings).. before i can find opportunity he already clutched in revving especially loud.. again.. like a mosquito in amplified version.. very irritating.. kns he think S4 very slim like his KR can squeeze around fast.. then he just chiong right pass..

 

after 5 humble years on the road riding.. i think for a minimum.. i can tell which rider is rushing for time.. which are the monkeys... bro i think if its you.. he'll make u wana wheelie yr DRZ on his face... 100% sure..

discovered someone must have dropped my scooter cos i found scratches on my fairing. left brake and mirror when i was washing my bike today....darn cny coming dun want to curse at ppl...but my bike is so less than 6 mths old....2nd time it happened to me.... arsehole....hold the person lau sai big time or fall really really sick & not being able to enjoy the long weekend....so freaking irresponsible!

The 2 second rule would allow you to brake in time, if the car infront suddenly brakes hard.

 

But it might not be sufficient if the car infront stops immediately, ie. rear ends a stationary vehicle - The stopping distance is much shorter.

Anyone know where can and how much to zhng super loud air-horns front and rear? Then can literally f**k ppl who anyhow cut/ tailgate. Keyword being anyhow. If they cut in a proper manner it's ok wan.

 

I would rather ppl high beam to signal "get outta the way" then tailgate. Hell, even a horn is better than tailgate... That being said, I take lane 1 only when overtake or when slow moving traffic, so dunno y ppl still tailgate, even when im following another vehicle who is obviously limiting my speed... ...

What i hate is when fellow bikers come and ZEEP me when i am just riding along minding my own business not even speeding, or revving engine just moving from point A to point B. I mean whats the point of that what are you trying to prove?

Hahaz, will do that if traffic conditions permit. But normally I OTR peak hours, peak hour traffic is Bo Beh Zao ah... Literally, the horse also cannot run...

Yup, most of the time... we can only second guess what the driver would do next... and judge accordingly...

 

Umm... that's why I must say... time for all of us to practice E-brake on our bikes again!!!

 

A few days back while riding, I had to do an E-brake bcos some bugger in front of me brake abruptly! Luckily I had the distance in front and practice on E-braking on my bike...

 

Next time I must try to get a bike with ABS...
