been seeing alot of krr without their side fairing leaving their engine exterior exposed otr.

is this a recent new trend?

to me it looks ugly, sports bike w/o it's side fairing really spoil the look of a sportbike.

Its been that way for quite awhile.

Not forgetting the SPOKEY RIMS and SOTONG TIRES. :puke:

just now while waiting for my engine to warm up, i heard a loud crash. turns out an unmarked lorry had reversed into a kup kia, sending it crashing to the ground.

while the passengers alighted from the lorry and righted the bike, i fumbled in my bag for my hp, but it was too dark to take any picture.

oh ****, what should i do, was running through my head, so i decided to memorise the lorry lic plate and maybe leave the owner a love letter.

just wondering, what would u do if u were in my place and the lorry sped off?

anyway part two of the story

was expecting them to make a run for it, but the lorry seemed hesitant to move off as they had spotted me with my hp.

luckily the bike owner returned soon, and the lorry driver related the incident.

one of the passengers also approached me, telling me he had seen me trying to take pic, and anything wrong they would pay la.

albeit somewhat forced, but they did right by the owner so thats nice la =x

i hope tmr morning i dun find my bike lying on the floor too  haha

Muahahahaha! Time to make a fast buck!

Walk towards the motorcycle, yelling out the vehicle number loudly, make sure the driver can hear, get compensation and pocket the money! (but get caught don't quote me hor!)

Muahahahaha! Why am I so wicked?

Areal, be careful, revenge ... ... ... bike might turn up upsidedown.

haha..at first i thought maybe the fairings damaged then waiting for replacement..or maybe sent for a new coat of paint.

but then seems like quite a few of them otr, wonder what purpose removing it serves o.0 minus fairings = naked street version! :D

now rainy season, hope those sotong tires dun end up costing any lives

------------------------------------------------------------------------

today while riding, it was kinda fun riding through some huge puddles!

stuck my legs up and watched water spray up high on both sides! haha but after that shoes soggy soggy

today was also the first time i ever felt insecure on bt39 tires..

super slippery carpark floors covered with a layer of water..felt like the bike was almost floating, only dare to ride at crawling speed and almost no lean angle o_O

baby, u're my love..

Those wheels and tyres setup is for the crash test dummies.

Due to their small contact patch with the road, the tyres tend to slip and slide under hard acceleration and worst still, under hard braking.

With the onset of the NE Monsoon and wet roads... expect to see more bikes with sotong tyres lying down on the roads.

rode through town purposely to clock mileage coz bike still running in. super duper packed with cars and irritating pedestrians. was squeezing through traffic when VOILA ! someone stucked her hand and camera out of the front passenger seat just to take the pictures of the light up. ZZZ ! luckily manage to brake in time. otherwise, there's NO way i'm gonna pay for her DSLR.

at a junction, asked him wanna explore wad is further infront instead of home?

turned out to be Sungei Tengah road. very quiet road. further in, it reminds me of trunk road in msia. good to ride.

yah...inside very nice to ride...sungei tengah, jalan lekar etc. also try neo tiew and the farm lanes there :)

how much faster can the bike go even if you put spokey rims and sotong tires? lesser contact with road surface = higher chance to kiss the tarmac. foolish trade off if you ask me. want faster get 2A or 2 bikes lor. tire fat fat also. never seen any class 2A or 2 bikes with sotong tires so far.

but still no idea why they remove their side fairing... seemed to be done on purpose cos see quite alot otr liao (specifically kr). bike seems alright no signs of bike getting involved in an accident. take away side fairing means bike cannot "cut" thru air as efficiently then sure got higher air resistance mah, how to go faster that way???

Maybe without fairrings more air pass through, cooler, less likely to overheat? :?

And crosswinds can go through instead of pushing the bike sideways?

And Sotong tires definately can go faster. See the racer bicycle tires you know already.

But BEWARE! They are fast but not safe.

Thats the world for you.

Super 4 riders will buy aftermarket cowlings and fairings to put on their 'naked' bikes while fairing bike owners will remove theirs to make their bikes look 'naked'.

Hmm 1st time posting in here just want to highlight what happened.

1st incident: Me and an unknown rider were riding on TPE quite close to each other i was behind him. So he switched to center lane and i maintained on the right. Suddenly got this reckless ******* driver swerve here and there like he some F1 driver driving a stupid smallass car. So never mind he swerve swerve hahaha me and dis guy decided to box him in all the way hahaha so he couldn't move LMAO stupid ******* almost hit the S4 guy. So all the way we curbed this ******* and when we split he waved at me and i waved back at the S4 guy. What a nice rider.

2nd Incident: 2 phillipine *****es was inside the cab while i was on the highway. They were pointing and laughing at me while video recording me with their stupid Iphone. Guess i looked fat on my bike :( ****ing FT's. Wished i followed them to their destination and smashed their useless Iphones.

u must put urself in their shoes. or prolly, in the minds of the rempits / street racers. its just about one thing, they think it "LOOKS" nicer. honestly, i only feel tat it looks nice on KR . on SP / TZM , forget it laa ! ugly .

but i know of friends who removed the side fairing coz it was jialat after going track.

Safer to stay home tonight.

Too many drivers driving under the influence of alcohol and TP operations around.

never see any TP around. huhu.. luckily ! but i sure feel the presence of crazy drivers. was riding on PIE at 1am, im on the left most lane, just infront of me on 3rd lane was a taxi. saw this car in my side mirror approaching me fast!! and seriously, fast! kanchong abit and moved to the left. and the next thing i knew, he was already so near my rear! nudged till i crossed the road shoulder marking. and he just sped his way, squeezing me out of my lane and overtook so near the taxi.

dear mr p-plate in your probably precious dad's car,

there really isn't a need to squeeze between me & the taxi on the next lane. the road was VERY clear, and you're most likely to be speeding. you could have switched over to the next lanes that is already very empty.

and i realized riding whilst your bike is running in is surely testing my patience. kena horn, kena overtake dangerously, kena scold, just need to suck thumb. :faint:
