epic fail..

my efforts to tame the 25y/o 2 stroker beast turned out to be a nightmare. :faint:

the bike stalled umpteen times, once @ x-junction, didn't even make it outta the neighbourhood. :faint:

sweated big time to resuscitate it by kick starting countless times..

i'll just leave it as i'd rather ride my bike anyday.

probably this 2 stoker is not being maintained and taken care of properly...

2 stroke bikes, need to be maintained regularly.

as the saying goes, take care of bike and bike will take care of you.

my 10 year old TA150 2 stroker never let me down in anyway since day 1 under my ownership.

Riding along as usual when i heard a loud pop sound from underneath the bike.

And when you hear any sound while riding, its is not a good thing...

Stopped at carpark, checked for damage. Seems none.

Start bike and ride off. Then rear tyre losing it, and fast. Stopped again.

The rear tyre, with 15,000km worth of road , ended abruptly and sadly by a 8cm by 0.6-1cm steel rod/stick by the side. Ride a good few years already, 1st time kena such a big 'nail'.

Gone case. Rear hugger got whacked also.

Reminder to self and others.

Next time, check and re-check before moving off again.

i think higher speeds for class 2A and above is still ok coz their brakes are way better. maybe that's y 140kph max out for most un-zhnged cls 2B bikes..

its not okie for all bikes, dun exceed speed limits, keep to extreme left lane if u not even hitting speed limit.

even riding/driving within speed limit, doesnt mean u have the right on lane 1, lane 1 always for overtaking vehicles no matter wat.

its the rider braking technique to stop despite how gd or bad their braking systems are.

if u cannot brake tat fast, y go so fast.

ride at a speed tat u are confident to stop in time when sh*t happens.

my gawd keys flew out from the ignition......

this is dangerous, any ways to retify the problem?

Agree with sparkler here, you may have fantastic brakes, flower disc la all those... but wrong technique will send you up and over your bike and onto the road...

Yeah.... use those primary sch "doi doi (bouncing sound)" wallet clip onto the mirror stalks. Or have separate key bunch for ignition and others.

can't help but to notice that u always spell sparkers1 as sparkler. hehe.

my keys are kinda loose also . but so far never fly out before. i use lanyard and wind it round my rear mirror. many ppl tell me not safe, but i dunno how else to prevent my keys from suddenly flying out of th ignition.

other than that, i'm also forgetful. so with the lanyard, it's pretty visible fr me to realize whether i already take my keys along with me or not.

---

today whilst riding, i guai2 keep in my own lane at PIE, when this car suddenly cut into my lane. few inches beside me till i had to swerve out. then, the bugger horn me many many times. wth ??? my fault ah? lose my steam and gv him the sweet finger.

anyway, was riding on AYE yesterday, towards jurong around 1.30pm. kinda jam after lower delta. thought what happen. then turns out that there was an accident on the other side of AYE. i dont know what happen, coz i not kepo. but, wahlao ! slow down just to see what happen on the other side of the road. :faint: kepo2 singaporeans.

dear STALKER on SGBikes.com ,

YOU CAN SUCK MY MIDDLE FINGER DEEP DEEP !

yours truly.

Ya... i believe most ppl will think how fast the bike can go... 120~~~ 150~~~ Waaa... 180km/h.

But they never think how fast their bike can stop at that speed, and how to stop in time.

can stop.. whatever speed also can stop..

but depends whether stop with 2 wheels on the road or stop with the side of the bike on the road.. :sian:

i have been wondering and reflecting about my daily riding life....

much as i want to enjoy my ride, most of the time, some bugger in a cage will come and spoil it for me...

1) swerve into my lane w/o signalling/ signal and change lane at the same time

2) takes his/her grandpapa time to change lane

3) road hogger/tail-gater

4) swerve about in lane/ straddle between 2 lanes

5) close lane spilt gap on purpose.

the above 5 situations have become so common that im not really bothered about it anymore. nevertheless, it still irritates me but i can just let it go w/o getting hot-headed.

but sometimes an bongtard will come out with an extreme reckless stunt that puts my life in danger and it will totally ruin my ride...

an example: while riding on lentor towards yishun. this freaking van (pte hire bus) cut into my lane abruptly w/o signalling, i was more or less expecting it cos it was speeding fast from behind and so i pre-empted his action.

what pissed me off was what he did after... he was lane straddling happily between lane 1 and 2, i lane change to lane 2 to prepare to overtake this bongtard... he made no effort to keep to his lane and continue to straddle in between lane 1 and 2. i dropped gear, opened throttle and horn the sh!t out of him as i overtook him quickly...

after overtaking him, he came to chase after me and tail-gated me, so i decided to play "tap my brake game" with him, after awhile, he stopped tailgating me.

it is this kind of idiotic road-user that really pisses me off. im sure if a tp was patrolling there, the tp will stop the van and give him a nice fine and demerit points for reckless and negligent driving... :sian:
