Few nights ago while riding, got lost in chua chu kang area.

While forming up in the right lane to make a u-turn back into the e-way, a lorry just suddenly cut across from lane 1 into lane 2, right in front of me! Jammed the brakes till my rear fishtailed, and luckily managed to stop in time. While feeling thankful that I managed to stop in time, my anger got the better of me and I rode up beside the lorry and stared at the driver, all ready to show my angst through 'the finger'. However when I stared at the driver, he smiled and nodded at me with the most gracious and friendly expression I have ever seen in years!

I was momentarily stunned and not knowing what to do, rode off without smiling back / showing finger / shouting at him. While I was pissed at his antics, the smile and greeting told me that he likely didnt notice me when he switched lanes.

Really dont know whether to laugh or feel angry..

@lolibear. in future would be good to inform them of wat happen. Sometimes we do encounter this types tat wan to be nice but didnt realise tat their actions r not nice although is unintentional. So for this type can tell them nicely.

If u screw them like wat pjy suggest, they may not get it and just curse all riders as fup.

i share this experience of mine (hotblood)

i was riding to tuas spc, u know the tunnel towards the spc ,tis white stream cut me from 2 lane to my third lane as there is a lorry in front of him ,his cutting of lane was like how daniel bike was miss by the mercs except we were on a almost straught road . i switch on my high bean hid and follow him .. he keep tapping brakes, but i was a 3 to 4 car length away from him ,

then he procced to change whatever lane i was in when i proced to overtake .

so i slowed down .. he also slowed down ..

after the first traffic light i gun my bike and zoom pass , he chase or not i dunno . after that i too slow down and stop , to check my phone

suddenly he appear and zoomed pas me while i am on the bike very closely

i look up , and say knn , that ^$%^$^%%^, he stop his car , make a u turn and then u turn and stop behind me ..

i look at my mirror, humm he is not getting out , there i start my bike and gun it again ... he chased and i wasnt that fast as i didnt know my way very well and afraid of stone on the floor . rather have him tailing my backside then to fall and slide and have him laughing at me ..

i dunno how i left and right and i remember going pass some refinery then an esso , and finally i see jalan ahmad ibrahim ... and we even went out together on the aye ..

after that i lost him ..

Glad that you knew your limits bro. That area now very has road conditions due to mrt construction. I work there. If u play otr there chances are you'll lose. Or he bang into you. Also u lose. Glad you're ok. Some car drivers are !diots

The rider expects everyone to give way to him like he is some big shot. Today rode my bike never bring cam got so many things happen. One is the entrance to PIE got car stop to alight passenger. Then got some mini jam and can see cars all are not straight in lane all just want to go the other lanes. Even got one van just change lane even in the jam when the got small space just squeeze the front into the lane abit also can which makes it more jam. Bring cam not much happening but never bring cam got so much.

i went to tangs at orchard saw this brand veho muvi for in car and bike cam which i find it good quality but is on the expensive side but what caught my attention was that this tiny camera same size as a AA battery quality is good, only problem is it can only last about 1 hr 15 min as mentioned by the salesman. the price is around 100 though.

i not happy abt the second part , macam like car driver like that.. come in then squeeze ppl out jus to be one car length ahead ..and the worse thing to it if confront the rider

If i am not wrong, some camera are installed on the helmet..

What if during accident, the helmet is badly damaged and i'm sure the camera will be badly damaged too.. Like that also cannot provide video to the TP

Thanks for your contribution, respect, for someone who would actually stop and talk to the driver, and lucky that driver attitude is not that bad, imagine its a ah beng inside zzz

Very pathetic society here in SG. These kinda drivers are a JOKE.

I also intend to feedback about this letter system as it doesnt make sense. I feedback through email and already received a email report. Dun c any need for administrative overhead to send out hardcopy letters. This effort can be channeled to chasing down e offenders instead.

Keep up the gd work, really must make those drivers pay & pay to learn the lesson. These ppl are too ignorant and selfish.Brainless creatures.

It's a taxi and it just cut 3 lanes slowly, i pressed my horn and yet tat taxi still do it, he dun give a damn to any vehicles. Nearly head on and crashed.

These kinda driver really dun give a damn about anything. Only know how to sit inside the cage, once stepped out become a timid mouse.

These drivers have the guts to display "killer instinct" OTR but dun dare to step out of the car when confronted.

Maybe We can mount it on bike instead ? Only thing is not able to record any incident that take place out of the front view on the bike. And might lose it if we forget to take it off bike when we dismount.

I encountered the same thing too. But was a female driver driving small goods vehicle. As she too slow on the middle lane. I then overtake her from left lane as right lane more cars. While I was beside her. She slowly change into my lane even I horn her as I feel threatened. She ignored my continuous horning and trying to force me out of my lane ! The problem is on my left is road shoulder.

What made my blood boil was that even I looking at her she gave me that blur look. Plus I have pillion.And she acclerated to about my speed. That moment just feel like giving that b***h a tight slap to stop that blur look of hers. I know whatever I do I'm the one suffer so I twisted a handful of my throttle and manage to escaped before she makan me. If that moment I have helmet cam will be great. Let u guys have a look of that stupid blur look.

Bike or helmet. In a very bad crash either placing it will get damaged. Again luck plays an important role. Just to add. If get involved with a taxi they will claim an exorbitant amount. Even compensation for loss of income and the rent for their taxi. So if involved with taxi and you are not in the wrong let them taste their own medicine.

But sometimes I dono will I be overkill cos I will always wear armour jacket glove ff. covered shoe jeans. Thats my standard clothing. If add a Noticable camera even I go for a 10 mind trip ?

@NL27. My camera compared to a iphone pouch i smaller than 1/4 of e pouch. Batt life around 2hr.

I mount my current cam on helmet becoz i wan to aim.

Actually i also same as u. In e past always gloves at least. Now at least with armor jacket. Then add e cam. sadly i still sometimes berms and slippers. With armor an FF.

@WAItforme. I ve e same thoughts. But this type of overtaking very common now.

@Sky99. Dun buy those built in memory types. Get those tat ve to use sd cards. Higher chance of survival for e card.

@sparkers. Lol. Either u unlucky or ve to review ur awareness. ^^

Actually for me same. Mostly will drive off becoz i never try to stop them. This case was more serious in my opinion so i stop my bike and he also follow me stop. Other times minor i also dun bother. If post/report every minor occurance then i also give up already. Lol

Wear whatever you feel like. Its your life your safety. As for me I will try to always be wearing shoes but ocassionally wear slippers on very short trips but I make it a habit to always wear jeans.

second that. My friend once drove and rear ended a taxi. Nothing much, just slight number plate crack on my friends car. No big deal on the taxi. Next thing u know. Taxi claim 3 days if nonsense, lost of use la, rental la medical la.

tp might not be able to fine those errant drivers as the number plate cant be seen clearly and i noticed those cars that driving not within lines typically they are using thier phone or doing something and eyes not on wheel. enjoying the road driving is a thing in the past, sadly

Bro, not tat i wanna say this but if not much awareness, I will not be riding till now for so long.

When these drivers are out to kill for no reasons, we have no choice despite defensive etc, the sentence is too light for them anyway.

Ya i also think u unlucky. But if really encounter so much. Maybe u wan to increase ur scope of free space?

Ya defensive is e way to go for us riders. Becoz if really tip jia lat, then e last thing on our mind is winning e case. If we still e a mind anyway. :/
