Had a taxi tailgate me very closely, I was one car length behind the car in front because I didn't feel like LSing as the speed was fast enough, looked behind, tapped my brakes, see the taxi back off then I proceeded to LS and throttle it all the way up front till I feel I was far away enough.

I post it here to apologize for my mistake and to remind me not to do it again. I check all time time before i change lane and to squeeze forward. most bikes do it I seen it every time, especially those cub kia. Thanks for reminding me my mistake tho, I will make sure i check next time i do it, but i will nv do it again infront of a lorry since it is big and will block the view of other bikers and also hinder my view.

Well I Don't think squeezing more is a mistake, since most bikes will try to squeeze forward unless it is only 1 car infront.

 

My main mistake was not checking enough, and squeezing infront of a lorry which blocks the view of riders behind too

Yea true. If die2 want to squeeze, be ultra sure no bikes LSing from the back. If not...jialat!

After I change to this Grand Dink, I feel like i'm a road hog. Not used to the size for LS and the power is just now there. so I just relax from point A to B

Grand Dink? Is it the one with a switch to close the mirrors?

 

Rode today. Not much excitement except for one van in front of a lorry which created a jam on PIE. Had to literally slow down to 20km/h and to a complete stop. LS and it seems the passenger of the van was having a very interesting conversation with the driver.

 

Later on got cut by this young chap with female pillion from my right without any signals. Seeing that he is riding a more powerful bike than I am I gave in and let him be in the front to LS while I am behind him. Next thing I see are bright lights from his tail light. Apparently he does not feel confident to LS. To the young chap if you are not confident to LS stay behind patiently and not just cut in. You do have a powerful bike but power is nothing without control. So then I signalled right and checked the mirrors and blindspot and switch lane and shortly overtook him and be on my way.

Some of those malls used to be FOC but suddenly start charging liaoz. Some even upz their rates!!!

the parking fee is around $1.07. if i am the shopping centre and someone complain to me about $1 i wont bother, if the person seems to mind about the $1 parking fee then he will not spend much, having him/her doesn't help much in their profit.

I don't mind paying $1.07 for parking in a sheltered area provided it's per entry. But some places charge $1 per hour or something like that... those i avoid like plague... Of course, free will be better, so sometimes i just park where it's free and then walk that little bit extra...

You can try petition but 99% will ignore. Especially when they have configured their EPS system to charge bike. All this need money. They at least need to earn back back their intial investment. Even public carpark need to pay liao, I don't see why the private property owner cannot charge you for using their space. Beside motorcycle parking not that expensive right? And usually per entry. I think it fair enough.

While most might feel unjustifiable but then afterall it is still not our property. Riding a motorcycle also does not automatically make you immue to all kind of cost which cars are experiencing. Just avoid these carpark if you don't feel like paying.

Some car park in CBD area don't allowed bike at all even we're willing to pay car rate.

Free parking mall is getting lesser and lesser, in near future, they might even charge hourly like Vivo City.

Boycott shopping mall no use. Sincerely when I go shopping mall I never ride. Also ride bike higher probability of not spending this they will more likely pamper drivers than riders.

 

So only way is find cheaper carparks and never assume becoz many prices ve changed.

 

There was this place, international building at shenton way, used to be free. 1 year never visit, it change to charge bikes at car rate. Super angry but can only blame myself. Thankfully they "kindly offer"bike season parking at 20+ versus the car rate which was 40+ so stuck thumb.

Quite true. Most likely they are trying to cover costs hence the price hike. Rarely go shopping mall with bike as there are still cases whereby bikes being tampered with and missing accessories. It is always park at your own risk.
