Hey kiamh, you nail it. I must have accidentally knocked the engine kill switch to off. Most embarrassing! Wasted 3 days of taxi fares. Should have asked you guys earlier. Once again, thanks.

Was wondering whether anyone has a done a extension for their phantoms . As in the front handle. Any problem for inspection or on the road.

The chassis will allow an extension meh? I can imagine you will put alot of strain on the new fork. firstly its longer and secondly, it's more horizontal. Are you thinking 'American Chopper' style of forks, where the forks are super long?

willkhc: if u wanna extend your fork, i think there's fork extention kit from 'koon'. enquire from him. legality i'm not sure as i bet there's no phantom has installed such stuff.

if u are asking about raking in/out of forks, no phantom has done it also.

ah koon told me about fork extension kit too... front fork will raise about 3 inch.

 

but the side stand needs to be extended too.. coz the ground chearance will be higher and the side stand wont be reaching at normal angle.

i wanted to change my set of exhaust, how much does it cost for the new ta200 exhaust? cos im usin the older vr of phantom. tot of changing to a new vr.

apam: exhaust is not cheap for your info. unless you got a lot of $ to throw the same sound produced but only the exhaust can which looks different.

the new vr of ta200 xhaust how much? the normal ones? cos i nie to change my xhaust due to sum accidents.

i bought 2nd hand ta200 exhaust already $90.

u roughly gauge brand new ones from here.

If it is to cover minor defects, i feel it is not worth it at all.

Extending your forks or raking out the triple tree will affect your bike's handling. Make sure you know the impact before doing such a mod.

 

Legality wise, I have no comment coz it won't stop anybody if they are adamant about changing it.

I think top overhaul just open up engine and check plus replace gasket and other minor stuff. Those exp stuff need to charge $$$ again.

it's is diy-modified into a very loud exhaust ( the screaming rooster 1), u interested?

On Ta150 right side near the kickstart lever, there is a knob. Is that the knob to tune rpm? Then what is the small screw beside the knob? Anyone knows?

Hi,i just got the phatom T200.I was wondering,a mechanic ever told me before that the phantom t200 has engine oil filter.BUt when i went to ah boy,they said the phantom doesn't have oil filter,it only has air filter.So which is true?And if both are present,then where is the oil filter and air filter located at?Thanks for all the help.And other than this 2 filter,what kindda oil or filters that i have to take care of?

TA200 does not have an EO filter. Only a strainer at the EO drain nut.

 

All bikes have air filters, for TA200, it is located behind the chrome cover just beneath the seat on the left side. There are no other filters for TA200.

 

For regular maintenance, you just need to look after your EO & change every 2000~2500km. Check your EO level regularly. Also remember to pump your tyres every 2 weeks.
