could be... coz last EO change, i chose FUCHS sikolene.. and gear changing was abit strange.. and more noisy.. sounds like "clunk".. not like honda, but more towards yamaha sound :D..

(yamaha bikes gear engage sound is louder than honda, that i heard)

abit paranoid.. after reading Replay and superking's bike problems..

after ah K**n did that happening thing to my bike, I became paranoid over lil things..well maybe..

Hi, I would like to ask what is the size of the carb for TA150 and TA200.

the inlet mm and outlet mm.

does anyone knows the diff btw TA150 carb and TA200 carb?

use a TA150 carb on a TA200 carb can anot?

Thanks.

hi lindavw,

wonder why you wanna use TA150 carb on TA200... for better FC?

or is it you wanna use TA200 carb on TA150... for better performance?

hi guys, this is a very interesting m*d idea... anyone tried before?

:cheeky:

is it okay to get the smell of metal after every ride?. engine sounds the same, but kept having the scent of metal recently after i changed to vpower.

it's kinda like both addictive for bike and rider like me to pump that. ha.

something like that... but first of all i need to noe if TA150 carb can be used on TA200 cos TA150 runs on 2t so the carb is slightly diff...

and im going to have lots of TA150 parts cos my fren is scrapping his bike soon.

hmm I believe it'll be "not up to standard" if you were to change that *wink wink*

that's y im trying to find out if the inlet n outlet mm of the carb for TA150 and TA200 are the same.

only i think TA150 got a 2t inlet at the carb but this can be sealed.

even not up to standard, the TA150 as a spare carb i can mod it.

"not up to standard" meaning rov catches you = they get more jobs ;)

but I wonder if they'll manage to catch you on this hmm..actually its good if you go down to planet motors to ask ah chong when you do your servicing..so he can advise you more..

i dun think so so sway will kena stop by ROV juz becos of a carb and its under ur tank... like they will remember the correct TA200 carb size and outlook.

mod the carb doesnt mean that it makes the bike sound louder... it juz makes the bike faster.

Servicing? i service my bike myself... so motorshops are only the last resort if i cant solve the prob.

lets say the 2t inlet is sealed and only fuel & air enter carb, there may still be complications such as timing, fuel-air ratio and compression ratio. can TA150's carb fuel-air can be tuned? compression ratios of both engines similar (otherwise can mod con-rod)? timing... this one tough.

engine may run but inefficiently lor... then end up FC L~P~P~L or maybe worse due to inefficiency.

worse case situation, piston damage... unlikely though o_O

may all be well and happy

carbs only provide fuel n air mixture to the block for combustion so y not?

of cos the inlet n outlet mm size makes the diff.

Ta200 runs on 4t no 2t the carb oso feeds fuel n air mixture in the block.

Ta150 blends in 2t into the air fuel mixture then sends it into the block.

the spark and the rest are controlled by the CDI not the carb hence i see no conflict here?

All Carbs air fuel can be tuned... if not changed to the correct settings.

my suggestion is to consider factors that affect engine efficiency... whether can get desired FC improvement or waste time only nia. u asked a question, we try to give suggestions and considerations. afterall, we're not pro or engine designers, just fellow riders who don't mind sharing what we think. n now i think more than enough is said already

seems u already have the answers, just go ahead and try lor :thumb:

i have 1/4 the answer but i still need to noe some details.

Read my question carefully again pls. im not saying pk pple r engineers or designers. i think most pple have been riding phantom longer than me surely in here hence juz asking.

modding the carb may not actually give u time wastage or affect engine efficiency.although some stuff maybe compensated.

seems still no one can tell me wat is the inlet n outlet mm, can Ta150 fit TA200?

anyone tried b4?

u can have bellypan, just use super4 bellypan, i wanted to put but my crashbar gets in the way. now valarie has it on his police bike.

custom fenders, can.. just bring enough cash..

i've checked with madman, but so sad his suppliers dont have this.

i've searched forward control model on ebay and atleast it'll cost 100 USD. cant get exact TA200, but they have honda and yamaha parts.

so i've talked to A* K***, to customize, modify the footpegs to move foreward.

gear shifter rod can be extended, break pump also can be relocated.

but footpegs need to move forward and no idea where to mount.

cant weld it to frame as it'll be illegal to modify the frame.

can put 2,3 inch bracket to move forward, but it'll be ugly..

so, i've decided to ride phantom as it is and get dragstar as 2A, for forward control.. :(

hey, just wanna know, what kind of adhesive is used to stick that phantom emblem on our tank?. i doubt it's just normal dboule sided tape?.

can i use turpentine to clear excess tape off when i barge open that emblem out?.

u got a great point. but i dun hv the intention of upgrading to a 2A bike. to a class 2 bike if god wills. wait long2 leh.. :(

if you think ta is enough then don't bother changing..if you think you'd like to take on challenges and the heavier bike+cost go for it ;)

Same man, just like Kiamh, skip 2A and get the 2. Make it a target and work towards it :thumb:

Anyways i must applaud your modding ambitions, quite hardcore for someone who wanted an SP :cheeky:

I have the best signature.

well.. it's good to have new ideas of mod, but do it in safer and proper way.

like modifying foot pegs.

i gave it serious thought last time, but since rear break and gear shifter, needs exact measurement to work properly, if relocated..

and ofcuz foot pegs need to move forward where it can withstand your weight.

:goodluck: maxvelox, i am ejoying phantom on singapore roads too for it's best fuel consumption and still can squeeze traffic.

IMO 2A cruisers are not bad, consider their price and power u can get. appreciate their weight and still many room to customize :)

V twin looks better than single cylinder. :thumb:
