I went to visit cheong, he fixed the unsteady idle problem. Later he rev the bike, my bike started to smoke white. i asked Cheong, he said likely overhaul. Problem is, it never ever smoked white before. i'm quite sure Cheong did not cause the problem coz he just changed 1 tube on the right side of the carb. (not the air intake long tube, the short 1)

 

I asked him how, he said, so little smoke, u will probably never notice it on a bright day. by the time u parking, engine relaxed already, smoke even less, so u never see. He told me, from now on, must monitor my EO preferably every day. If its bad, prepared money.

 

my bike drink like 1/4 of the EO for 30 days. i thought its reasonable for phantom.

 

thoughts? shrug it off or panic. I have read other white smoke threads, but most suggest their bike can replace dry ice, mine's nowhere near that, more a mild smoking corner, ONLY when revved. no rev no smoke.

It took me about 2 days to get fully comfortable with riding, turning, and u-turning competently. Took me about 5 days to get comfy squeezing traffic, so in total about one week. This is based on riding to and fro work.

 

Yas is true. It took me 2 days to handle my wide handle well. But i jus need another 30 sec more to squeezzzz thru the traffic at CTE at ease... Yas you know it....

i agree with jB.. i have tried many bikes (not that many though) and instantly got used to its handling.. can't squeeze with it that soon, but after bout 5 mins on the MP3 i forgot my bike had a clutch. after 5 mins on a hayabusa, i didn't open enough throttle on my own bike..

Btw, by 'familiarise', i meant to be absolutely comfortable and competent in manouvering the bike with the handlebars. It's no point just being able to ride from point A to B without difficulty.

no problem with them even done u-turns(w/out feet touching ground of course) with diff bike and their handing..

Hi I wan ask again sori. Got quote from yeow motor ah huat to repaint my TA200 single color for 200 to 220 bucks. Feel a bit steep as i dun need any design. Any other reliable paint shop to do it like $150?

They offer one of the cheapest paintworks available currently. Maybe the colour you asked for requires some mixing of the colours or multiple coats, hence more expensive.

 

Maybe can explore the Why Pay More? section and read up a bit more.

how long is up to you, I do mine 2k-3k. Some 5k. Depends on how well you treat your baby

when i ride longer journey with 90-100km/h, i'll start to see white smoke.

 

I'll bring my bike for check up. But i would like know some opinion from you guys. I dun wan kena carrot...

with the description you gave, maybe is piston ring leaking... go to shop and ask for opinion bro..

changing new EO can be done at any time, depending on your preference. some do it 2k, like myself. some 3k, some even up to 5k...

get it changed, it won't cost you much and will solve your self made worries as you're new. Take for example, you have a fish tank.Water evaporates from your tank while the fishes clear their stomachs of food and pollute the water..You can top up the tank with water but it'll still be dirty with fish waste. Can carry on for few months but how good is it, let you decide

Mustafa perhaps? I did those in first few months of owning my bike, now a days engine is much important to me than outlook
