u mean u just go to the petrol station, whip out the army drinking bottle, shove the diesel nozzle in and pump 0.5 litre?

then pump your bike with petrol, go and pay for both types?

why do they sell metal container for taking away petrol if u can just use army green plastic bottle?

puzzled that's all. thx.

actually they sys veri powerful one...

i use to do there too..

pump bike already then pump onto the green bottle..

then go cashier they will tell you how many litres this petrol how many litres desiel then total how many.. if not ask the attender there help you..

all they want is $$ they dun care what bottle u bring to store.. anyway metal container is for those half way no petrol then need to store some place so can transfer to their bike to get it running..

somemore you going to buy metal container to store desiel then remaining where u going to dispose? store at home must be careful.

ya.. but currently there a kind of batt on the market where there a indicator light..

when u rev the light on the batt will on meaning that the charging sys is ok

if rev no light mean charging sys fail..

use voltmeter measure and rev.. make sure is 13 to 14 volt that mean charging sys is good.. if rev you didn;t see this figure normally not good le

Yes, if there is a higher voltage reading while the bike is running - then there is charging.

A voltmeter simply indicates voltage of the battery, some of them are not even accurate. Pls get a good unit. :)

a good meter can cost about $50 and above..

normally is electronic and electrical student from poly or ITE will require to buy sure a good brand with student discount..

for normal reading on bike voltage.. can get a small one with digital reading as analog needle will swing up and down when you rev.

get those planet motor.. i think NTUC or carrefour electrical section selling or you can try daiso.

battery flat still can start...just that must rev to keep the bike from dying if it's cold...

kickstart is use mechanical force ma...i've ridden kips, rxz, tzr and wr2 when battery is flat...and wr2 dun even have a battery.

if the rectifier is gone, the bike can still run smoothly...but if the alternator is gone...then you'll have to go without the lights.

But my understanding of a charging system is - the rectifier is part of an alternator. Any parts not working - alternator is gone. A charging system (alternator) consist mainly of a rotor, stator, rectifier & regulator. cheers

bro, rxz dont have alternator only rectifier if im not wrong. Regulator, rotor, rectifier, coil magnetor only found in alternator, which normally available on cars. And i dont think bike have alternator as it need pulley to turn the coil so that can regulate current and charge up the battery. Unless it runs by dynamo.

btw Metalfyre...nice sign...i loike... :D

Hey guys

Ever since i buang the bike, now everytime i stop at traffic light there is a large possibility that my bike will die during idle. Some times when i open the throttle just a little bit, engine also will die.

Today i reaching my office liao it died again at traffic, couldn't start it. starter motor like just crank abit abit but can't start. Push it to a down slope and managed to push start it. rev rev for a couple of mins its ok. Turn off the engine den couldn't start again liao.

Anyone knows the problem? battery? carb? btw i already increased the idle liao still like that. Also did a full servicing abt 2 weeks ago...
