Change of Front fork seal = have to flush out the entire fork oil and replace with fresh fluid to balance both fork.

**Warning, Fork seal leaking can cause serious damage to the fork, which you might have to change the entire fork in the worst case.

Ideally, you should resolve the problem once you are aware of it, rather than to take unecessary risks

e.g: you know your chain end-of-life liao, delay changing... one day as you are riding on the expressway @ 110kmh, the chain snaps.... :goodluck:

"soft" forks are dangerous when doing hard braking.... so fix it ASAP

"leaking for some time"

:D just my POV

Hey guys.

My TA150's tuning got cocked up today, after pillioning my heavy mother. The power went super duper low and kept dying off when i idle for not even 5 seconds.

AhKoon did tuning for me on Wednesday only! Is this normal?

Got frustrated and fiddled with the - screw and the turning lever with a black head and a spring on the shank. I had no idea what i was doing but i decided to try my luck, bike dies every damn time.

Then i realise the bike's power and feeling increase liao, but a bit too high as theres some resistance before hitting 100km/h on the meter unlike the previous time. Might be leceh to go down AhKoon to retune, so any guys out there can enlighten? Or maybe those around Woodlands can drop by and give some hints?

theyasman: the screw you adjusted is only to increase the rpm during idling if i'm not wrong... Don't think that will affect the power bah.... Power have to adjust air/fuel ratio right? Any PKs to clarify?

After a rain, my seat will soak water and when I sit on my bike and do a corner, the water will seep out and wet my pants. Anyone has this problem? Always look like I wet my pants after a rain, and sometimes it'll happen for a couple of rides. :help: Will changing the seat help and how much does it cost?

A very noob question.

When do we switch to Reserve Tank - before the main tank runs out or when it really runs out and bike dies? If we switch to Reserve with say 1L still in main tank, and that reserve has say 2L, will the bike run with 3L (1 + 2) or just the 2L from Reserve Tank?

I've had the idea that if we use Reserve Tank, when topup petrol, let it remain at Reserve Tank. Before ride off, switch to Main Tank. Somewhat, its like to refill the Reserve Tank first. But i recently read the manual, it says to switch to ON whenever petrol topup is done, even when running in Reserve Tank. Would topping up with the switch at Reserve Tank deprive me of better FC?

Please enlighten. Thank you.

Physically, there is only ONE tank with 2 petrol outlet tubes, one tube mounted higher than the other. The top tube is for the "main" tank & the bottom tube is for the "reserve" tank...

Once you understand this concept, the rest of the answers to your questions will be obvious.

(paiseh, early morning, I lazy to type grandfather story )

Even if you pump full tank & leave your fuel switch in "RESERVE", you still have 11 liters of petrol before your bike stalls. Normally we would switch once the threshold for reserve is reached i.e. when the bike starts "coughing". DON'T let the bike die on the road.

I've had the idea that if we use Reserve Tank, when topup petrol, let it remain at Reserve Tank. Before ride off, switch to Main Tank. Somewhat, its like to refill the Reserve Tank first. You only have ONE tank The position of the fuel switch is irrelevant. As long as you are pumping petrol, you are only filling that ONE & only tank that you have on your bike. Fuel consumption is totally unaffected by the fuel switch position when you are pumping petrol.

The purpose of switching to "ON'' is to prevent situations where u run out of petrol with your switch in "RESERVE" becoz you forget to switch it to "ON " after pumping petrol.

so in that sense if u pump ur petrol and forget to switch to ON after travelling a long distance when u are out of petrol u are definately out. understood?:thumb:

Okay, thanks guys...

Appreciate the help alot!!

So KiamH u mentioned about switching when the bike coughs - just switch it while in motion will do?

I usually stop by the roadside and restart the bike after switching to Res.

yes... switch in bike is still in motion. There is no need to stop & sometimes there is just no safe place to stop for you to switch reserve. Practice a few times while you still have petrol so you know instinctively where & which direction to turn the fuel switch.

its actually quite simple la..

when u feel that ur bike started to jerk and move and jerk when u open throttle like clutch in and out when u open ur throttle like that, then no question ask jus turn the switch towards the front downwards (when u try it u will noe wat i mean).

another way is to calculate in average how much distance u will travel from full tank to reserve then u will noe ard how much mileage u will travel b4 u reach reserve.
