Change of Front fork seal = have to flush out the entire fork oil and replace with fresh fluid to balance both fork.

**Warning, Fork seal leaking can cause serious damage to the fork, which you might have to change the entire fork in the worst case.

 Today just went to Planet to fix e new fork seal for my front right fork leaking problem. $30.:sian:

Planet's boss told me that little bit leak nvm but I still change e seal.

Also, friendly reminder. One fork cost $200 sia. So better check your forks for leak man.:thumb:

:cheeky: U work e fork by pressing and pulling. Then u use your finger to feel e fork. If it is only a little oily, its normal. If it is very oily somemore got dirt residue on e fork, that means leak.

If got dirt residue, wipe them away. Then after a few days of riding, if e dirt appears again, must be leak lorr..

:help: PKs. Newbie here got this info fr friend. If u got better way, plz help.

Hey Davedevil and Vuitton, thanks for the replies!

Have another question, got my bike from a bike shop a couple of weeks back, and the IU has been dismantled because it is said to be faulty. Currently still waiting for the bike shop to source for a second hand IU, but the wait is getting unbearable. Thought I might as well go get a new one, but not sure if I can just go to Vicom without the old IU. The bike shop I bought the bike from is not one of the "authorised IU centres". Will appreciate some advice!

As quoted from onemotoring.com.sg:

Qn 9: Can I dismantle my IU at any other workshop?

No. Removal of IUs can only be made at authorised IU centres listed in the ERP brochure or as listed on the LTA website at http://www.lta.gov.sg or http://www.onemotoring.com.sg

Banana?! lol

Anyway, what will happen if sugar's added to engine?:cheeky:

if you do chemistry in secondary, you burn surgar in a test tube, it will become black sticky TAR, will jam the piston.

Err.... CHeers...

Hi guys, i had my i-forgot-what changed just now as part of Koon's trial & error approach to solving my signalling cockup.

Now, the frequency of the signals blinking are very very slow.

Anyone knows how to adjust it to lower frequency, aka blink faster?

Hi all PKs,

I m intending to change my Engine Oil per 2500km using Maxima Extra (Full-Syn, 15W50). Do you think 2500km is too much even for Maxima Extra?

Posted

Hmmm wheneva i stopping @ traffic lights, normally i will slowly drop my gears to gear1 then to neutral. But recently i have difficulty drop to gear 1, kinda stuck even i had fully clutch. Sometimes even have alot "tak tak tak" sounds like gear never bite properly.

Any ideas wads wrong

its not uncommon to change at 2500km intervals. Up to owner's preference & how he takes care of the bike. Just rememeber to check the EO level regularly

first thing u can do is check your clutch cable & the biting point.

Honestly i am totally clueless wad to check for the clutch cable

Looks ok on the outside. For biting pt eh... looks ok oso. Only thing is kik down to gear 1 from neutral like kik liao go back to netural so sometimes i just double clutch then can get it to neutral :weep:

Hmmm i roughly get the idea.... tighten abit of the clutch cable near the carb rite ? But if too tight might worn out the clutch so i just tighten abit will do hor. :cheeky:

The term servicing varies.

Service wat consider as 'servicing' ?

take the airgun and random blow the brakedust and dirt away also consider as servicing to some. so does change plug,eo,filters etc.

Got to be more specific on what you gonna like eg: carb cleaning+tunning, filter replacing, oil change, exhaust decarbonize etc etc.

Basicly mehcanic are at your mercy if u have the cash to burn.

How much does servicng cost depend on what you do also.

If you really have no idea of what to do,

Read up the phantom knights directory for more info.

Detailed info can be found over there.

Hmm.. How bout this?

1) Carb Cleaning

2) Airjetting of brake pads (Wonder if my term is correct?)

3) Cleaning of air filter

Consider I paid separately for the oil change and spark plug, how much does the jobs above roughly costs for K & T?

Another thing is.. Do we hav to specific wat to do to the mechanic? If we mentioned servicing to the mechanic, will they do the job for us?
