couldnt lift it, luckily raptor came to save the day..:cheeky:

Hey guys,i am planning to get a CBR 150 but i do not know much about the bike. The only thing i know is that its more of an economical bike. Can someone kindly tell me more about the specs of the bike? The specs, top speed, insurance and 2nd hand pricing.Thank you.

specs..http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4555&postcount=7

..i travel mainly by expressway..can get up to 46 km/l..maintenance wise only spark plug and eo.

top speed untested..110 at 8.5k, redline 11-13k

insurance 21 yo p-plate 860+ call up for a personal quotation is best..http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showpost.php?p=56965&postcount=18

2nd hand..run a search thru the garage sale, u will find it varies alot based on age and condition.

(btw recently quite a few cbr up for sale..alot of choices to view)

1.8k stretch to 4k..brand new is 5.6k, its up to u to judge whats a good deal~ :thumb:

according to the bike's speedo, the highest i managed to clock was 165lm/h down 2nd link.

with a digital speedo, calibrated with GPS, the figure shows 130km/h. it's just a case of analog VS digital, which is more accurate?

wah..such a big diff!? o.0

haha..tat was e reason y i fell..

ahh? u fell? also on that day or what? :(

wish both fallen female cbr riders quick recovery for their bikes!

thanks! wah don, u so sweet ah!

baby, u're my love..

Haha.. There is a reason why i use the word "if" & " hve to". In my mind, buang does not always mean fast. Even when riding slow, there are times whereby its better to buang the bike. Right or not?

Btw, why do we need to wear so much protection when we gg to track? Isnt it becoz there are more possibility that we gg to buang? :)

If I was chief TP, I would make it a law for every rider to wear armour whenever they're on a bike. What Areal saw me wearing for track is what I wear EVERYDAY, when I ride my bike. Its never about me fearing the possibility of crashing, but more on the fact that IF I DO CRASH, this will minimise the amount of damage to my skin and other injuries.

I always have my mesh armoured jacket on with ALL the armour in, gloves with knuckle guard, full face helmet on. I'm still contemplating on buying armoured riding jeans and stuff.

I wasnt even thinking about how to fall, reflex took over I feel.

Got me wondering too, how come rappy went out to track but it took him damn long to return. I was @ the pit having a drink. Anyways, nice to see you dropping by at the aprilia diy just now. Was suprised to see you there.

zlan crashed twice that day at turn 2.

PS: Most of us just now still felt that you should just patch it up and repaint the fairings. Dont waste money on new ones just yet. Before my decal work, I had a fall just weeks after having my bike. The scratches on the fairings was intentionally left untouched to remind me on how careful I should be while on the road.

Aiya 270 is complete new look. If your not gonna change the base colours of the bike, then its only 180.

On meter or GPS?

GPS, I have to try again.. But meter, I'm hitting 167-170km. Very very dependant on rider's weight. I'm a fat bas7ard and can hit the above mentioned speed. Some others, they're clocking around 170+ to 18Xkmph.

Which grade of EO is better?

I had tried both, each transformed my Cbr into two diff bike.

5w40 0r 20w50? (Cbr mileage is 4k.)

5w40, give good rev and fast acceleration. But gear change felt rough all the way up.

20w50 is totally opposite to 5w40. Makes Cbr slow to rev but smooth on the gear change.

What grade of EO is commonly used locally?

Kindly commend!

Wondering whether is it simple to change brake & clutch lever?

probably 9 or 10 Oct. need to check with the speedo CMO buyers first.

with your level of DIY skill, can change with both feet, eyes closed, and no tools!

i've tried out both grade 40 and 50 engine oil.

agree w/ yr observation...e.g. fast acceleration. however, i notice that there is more rattling noise frm engine as well.

made a swop back to grade 50 after i was done w/ grade 40, and the rattling disappears. so i dont mind sacrificing the increase in acceleration for greater engine protection.

Fully agree about the armour. When u r riding a bike, u r always more exposed and at risk than any other road user. Wearing a proper jacket and at least jeans and proper shoes, gloves and helmet is the least u should do to protext urself. When I see them ppl ride with shorts, t-shirt and flip flops I just cringe at the thought of what happens if they fall or get into accident otherwise.

Hee Zed, u mean to say that our speedo on 160kph, we were actually only doing like 130 kph? Thats quite a difference, I though the margin was usually as much as 10% so that would give a speed of arnd 145 kph when speedo shows 160 kph?
