hi guys,

i have just changed sprocket and chain... but my performance dropped with 7k rpm @ 80kmph. I believe its sprocket size issue. Any advice where i can get a better sprocket (ie size) and price?

huh?

80kmph at 7K rpm?

:faint:

wat size of sprockets did u get?

best is to get back original sprockets at the authorised dealers. if not, can try LAB. im using the aftermarket cbr150 spocket he sell. cant quite recall the size. but i can get ard 95kmph at 7k rpm.

:goodluck:

ok thanks! i shall try to change to original ones. BTW, can i juz change the sprocket alone? i heard that it comes in a set, ie i must change the chain as well... :S?

from http://www.gearingcommander.com/, i worked out my current sprockets could possibly be 15-50 sprockets. 80 @ 7krpm

Anywhere else i could get stock sprockets from?

well, CBR is indeed a bike for commuting, handles well, the fuel consumption of a kup kia, sporty with its 6 gears and fairings.

brand new would set u back about 7k depending on ur insurance etc, as the machine price is roughly 5-5.6k..

second hand bikes are always priced according to their age and condition..used bike section is a good gauge of market prices

if u can, go with an experienced biker to help inspect the engine and ensure u dun waste money on repairs.

price range can vary a great deal depending on which shop u go to, so scout around for a good price before buying..

good luck with tp~

if im not wrong, i think the chain length is dependent on sprocket size as well..if the change is great then the chain.....

might be best to check with the dealer if ur chain may still be used :goodluck:

baby, u're my love..

Yes correct. In Quadro case, its confirm he can use back his chain. Coz he gg to change his sprocket size from 15-50 to 15-44. If its confirm 15-50, I suggest u to get only the stock rear sprocket from everfit, then go jb fix. Guess this is the cheapest alternative. :goodluck:

Guys, ride safely. Road is not for playing.

Actually, I dont believe that ur mechanic change ur rear sprocket to 50. Its super big. U should count the rear sproket first, then use the web to calculate what size is ur front sprocket. Unless u want to open up the front sprocket cover to count it to be very sure. Then u know what u need to buy without wasting anymore money.

no need to count the sprocket teeth physically bah~

if the sprocket is new and clean enough, there should be a number printed at the side indicating the no. of teeth~
