Don, I think u get it wrong. Going by second link wouldn't pass dairy farm at all.

oh...

didnt realise using 2nd link

:slapforehead:

Thank you for your responses..

For my coolant is below "lower" marking,is it a healthy sign?

cause the bike shop say no need top up..:pity:

Outing? Sounds like a good idea

So when is the next outing?:dozed:

below lower marking is not healthy. u got to make sure the bike is on even ground when reading off the marking though. just in case there's some error doing reading :p

usually coolant doesnt get consumed. perhaps can try topping it up and monitor the situation again. what u wan to use to topup depends on your preference and budget.

1. tap water (there are pple who says tap water can result in formation of rust etc in radiator)

2. bottled distilled water from supermarket

3. ready-mix coolant from Shell petrol kiosk (at selected outlets only)

4. Maxima cool aide or other branded coolant types

the cap for the plastic container/coolant reservoir is found under rider seat. :goodluck:

kenneth i think the coolant is low not the reading so is not gd for the bike.... our bike can't depend on the air cooling power chance of overheat is high.... meter sometimes don't give accurate reading like zed speedo meter...

Highly recomand maxima cool aid

I will check again..

one good question...i do not what type of coolant is in the engine so can i get any brand to do the top up will do?

I heard there is a type of oil coolant in the market that claims to be better(more effective) than the usual ones...is there such a thing?

never heard of oil coolant... as my last post i use b4 maxima cool aid which is gd enough for our bike..... temp never go beyond 3/4 even on hot day in the jam....... the coolant is also remix mix so don't need to mix..... but refer to drain out the whole system do a flushing then put in the new one ... i feel is more effective ..... that wat i think....i may be wrong... so correct me if i am ......

got another "legend" besides u. he rides an air-cooled CBR150.

got lah that time we DIY coolant i think u were not around. this "legend" also wondering why his temperature reading is at the bottom (no reading).

turns out his radiator didnt even have anything in it. guess who.

Brother, I think u dont get the story behind Kenneth's post. Right, Kenneth?

He sure will tell u about it when u 2 meet up.

If a coolant can make our bike go beyond 3/4 of the temp reading, might as well use water. LOL

I agree that its better to flush out the existing coolant & pour in new 1 if its not the same brand. Chemical used by different brand might be different. So I guess its not healthy.

Btw, I also use the Maxima coolant. Pink color 1.

oil coolant? not too sure if suitable for our bike since the factory made it for water-based coolant. for topup and monitoring sake, u probably can opt for using distilled water. once u confirm there are no leakages etc, then consider whether u want to change to more branded ones?

:)
