never heard of oil coolant... as my last post i use b4 maxima cool aid which is gd enough for our bike..... temp never go beyond 3/4 even on hot day in the jam....... the coolant is also remix mix so don't need to mix..... but refer to drain out the whole system do a flushing then put in the new one ... i feel is more effective ..... that wat i think....i may be wrong... so correct me if i am ......

 

If a coolant can make our bike go beyond 3/4 of the temp reading, might as well use water. LOL

 

I agree that its better to flush out the existing coolant & pour in new 1 if its not the same brand. Chemical used by different brand might be different. So I guess its not healthy.

 

Btw, I also use the Maxima coolant. Pink color 1.

Now I know why got 1 guy install CPU fan facing the radiator.

 

U nvr use Maxima b4? Maxima coolant is pink in color 1, unless Maxima got other type of liquid coolant that I didnt know of. Stock is green color.

oil coolant? not too sure if suitable for our bike since the factory made it for water-based coolant. for topup and monitoring sake, u probably can opt for using distilled water. once u confirm there are no leakages etc, then consider whether u want to change to more branded ones?

 

Confirmed.. no leakage...Just nice the coolant at the lower line marking..

hm..maybe can share on the brand of the oil-based coolant u mentioned that is sold at Shell kiosk? i boycott Shell quite some time already. ever since they started the need-to-get-off-bike-then-can-pump-petrol nonsense.

 

the distilled water option is only recommended for topup. i.e. there is already coolant in yr bike. guess it is the most neutral thing to use for topup w/o having to worry abt which chemical in product A will react w/ other chemical in product B, etc.

 

to change to other type of coolant,

1. buy the preferred brand of coolant. get ard 1.5litre will be more than sufficient

2. drain out the existing coolant

3. flush the radiator w/ some of the new coolant u bought

4. pour in the rest of the new coolant until correct level

5. let the bike run for sometime, re-check coolant level and re-topup if necessary

bought a bottle of Selleys spray-on grease and done up all the electrical connections for my electric starter. works fine now. w00tz!

my stanley bulb low beam filament also chao ta at less than 10k km o.0 is it supposed to last alot longer? recently changed to this bulb (brand unknown, didnt have time to scrutinise) recommended by ah chong, price is the same at $4 but supposedly its more lasting. now my cbr eyes one brighter than the other

This is Norisha's first time arranging this, so pardon the noobness.

 

Basically we will be going to Kulai for Nasi Lemak. This will be a good experience for all of us if we are ever going to do the convoy to Desaru... AND BEYOND)

the last time i used some $4 bulb in my tail, it melted the headlight cover.

 

then i switched to STANLEY's bulbs... and eeverything went smooth... till now..... some 20,000+ km later.
