nah of course not. being an econs student, the first time i heard that phrase was in class when my lecturer played us an hour of the history of econs around the world, for every class.

the ex president's quote came after rising inflation rates were going out of hand. he was use the theory of monetary policy to bring inflation rates down, and it worked. Hence, by controlling the supply of money, being one of the 4 policies used, he did what his predecessors couldn't and that is to bring down inflation rates through deregulation. His theories were later coined as, "Reaganomics".

If u need a source, here it is.

there you go, now you sound so much more credible!

is anyone knowledgeable about our rear tail light assembly? Are the rear bulb holders and wires sold separately at Every Fit?

Thx in advance to the knowledgeable ones!!!

juz in case the original wire harness for rear taillight is not available individually (i.e. sold together w/ taillight as a bundle only) or if the pricing is tok gong, u may consider getting aftermarket taillight set at relatively cheap price. maybe ard $20+. it comes included w/ aftermarket wires and bulbs.

quite popular amongst the cub/rxz riders who seem to love swopping their original taillights w/ cbr150's.

:cheeky:

i doubt those are our tail lights leh. ours have the plastic panel to cover the lights.

i remember seeing one other bike otr with a similar tail also but with no plastic panel. forgot what is it liao... and don't ask me for source!

it is cbr150 taillight w/o the transparent plastic cover.

prolly aftermarket set, but gd enough for usage.

got to make sure that the red & orange colored lenses dont fall off overtime though. :thumb:

hello CBR150 lao jiaos, im getting a CBR 150 soon off a private dealer... hoping to get some advice from you guys before i fork out the cash to this guy:

1) how often do I need to service my bike? (EO, Spark plugs, Carb)

2) is it possible to get ride of some rust at the handle bars as well as the exhaust?

3) how much will it cost to change my exhaust pipe if the current one is pretty rusty? possible to change to a SP one?

4) any ideas on how much insurance will be? (p-plate, 24 YO)

5) what are the procedures to take a bike over from some one? (settle own insurance first, then go to LTA to transfer ownership??)

6) any shops to recommend for servicing a CBR 150? I was considering Republic Motors, read up some good stuff about them but they seem to do more work with SP and Super 4...

7) what are the things i should change/service when i send to shop?

8) any other things i should take note of

thanks guys!

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

1) how often do I need to service my bike? (EO, Spark plugs, Carb)

EO - every 5k if u get fully-synthetic oil, 3k if u get semi-synthetic oil. Plug around 10k. carb dont need to touch if it still works fine.

2) is it possible to get ride of some rust at the handle bars as well as the exhaust?

probably. but if the parts are badly corroded, then getting rid of the rust won't reveal any chrome part as well.

3) how much will it cost to change my exhaust pipe if the current one is pretty rusty? possible to change to a SP one?

SP pipe is totally different. at best, u can get cbr125 pipe to fit in. cbr125 exhaust end-can is totally chrome, cbr150 is not chrome at the tip area. im unsure of price of end-can though. probably ard $80?

4) any ideas on how much insurance will be? (p-plate, 24 YO)

call insurance company for quotation. confirm accurate, no need to estimate.

5) what are the procedures to take a bike over from some one? (settle own insurance first, then go to LTA to transfer ownership??)

yr mentioned steps are correct, im assuming that the seller hasn't laid up the bike, etc of sort.

6) any shops to recommend for servicing a CBR 150? I was considering Republic Motors, read up some good stuff about them but they seem to do more work with SP and Super 4...

what servicing r u looking at? if u just walk into most motorshops with no clear intention of what to change, quite likely u will be conned to change parts which do not require changing. if it is engine oil, spark plug, etc, most shops should be able to do the job. i personally prefer planet motor located at ubi. google for more info on this shop.

7) what are the things i should change/service when i send to shop?

for regular servicing, engine oil, spark plug, air filter should be fine. do look for wear and tear items like tyre, chain + sprocket, brakepads, that require replacement from time to time, but at much longer intervals than engine oil, etc.

8) any other things i should take note of

listen for weird/irregular noises from the engine area. regular rattling noise is acceptable (probably frm the moving engine parts). look out for oil leaks from underneath engine & front suspension. try out all lighting & horn to ensure electrical parts are ok. [/qUOTE]

my responses in green. :goodluck:
