Best to keep a spare bulb with the bike. In case the other fails and ur riding at night, can replace on the spot. Else, no light, ride is a bit tricky at night

dont worry. we got 2 headlight means 2 low + 2 high. when 2 low gone, still got 2 high. then if left with 1 high beam only, should go change both bulb. sgp road so well light, we actually dont need on headlight even at night. LOL

Guys, ride safely. Road is not for playing.

if budget go for DID O-Ring (stock).

got more spare money, go for RK X-Ring. it will last longer than the stock chain. used this chain for more than 2 & half years / clocked almost 50k km.

1 tip for u, no matter what chain u gg to change, rmbr to lube ur chain regularly. hard working rider will lube at least once a week, normal 1 lube once in 2 weeks, lazy 1 lube once a month. this is also depend on ur riding distance per day. this will help u prevent ur chain from getting rusty, prolong ur chain lifetime, and will keep ur chain in tip top condition.

as for the sprocket, just get the one ur bikeshop have, but it MUST NOT be made of aluminium.

hope this helps. good luck.

this discussion on chain is pretty interesting.

i'm a die hard supporter of using engine oil to lube chain. my current chain (DID o-ring) has clocked around 30k of mileage so far and have only been adjusted once or twice. from the outlook, it seems to be a relatively healthy/new chain.

but recently, i notice that my chain tends to run kind of noisy within 1-2days of applying fresh lube (with zero exposure to rain, etc). so i start to wonder whether have i:

1. gotten myself a chain that somehow doesnt get stretched longer after usage overtime, but inner chain links/joints have lost stamina (causing the chain noise)

2. over taken care of the chain such that it is not showing e usual/correct signs of wear & tear frm e outside

3. gotten myself a chain that is too durable for my riding style, and the chain is outliving the lifespan of the sprockets~

On a separate note, anyone experience bike dying suddenly without any warning and/or difficult to start/restart?

I'm trying to troubleshoot this problem with my bike.... think carburettor going to up lorry already or blocked..

http://www.sgwiki.com/wiki/Motorcycle_Parking#MUST_PAY_.26_PAY

sigh...

i used too in the past, but the EO attract too much dirts like sands which made me give up on lubing my chain using EO.

no 2 is a no no for me.

1 & 3 might be possible.

5 months old... also going to investigate the possibility of plug and/or plug cap...

ur sudden engine die as in while u moving or stationary? sudden stall or engine gg to stall but ur throttle does not respond?

plug DIY? iridium?

dont touch ur carb. if u suspect its ur carb, should try riding till ur tank almost empty (look inside the tank, dont judge by the fuel gauge) then go pump caltex premium or v power 2 or 3 litres.

ya i agree dont need to touch carb. 4 stroke bike hardly the carb will get dirty.

went to planet today saw a FU plate phantom removing his carb after last wash of 6 years.

inside still clean leh.

cleaner than my S4 the last time i went to clear it

how old is ur plug?

yea think the culprit is the plugs.

There is no replacement for displacement, except for Ah Seng

Ya troubleshoot part by part first lo... see the plug and cap how first.... Reason for suspect cos i see my friend's CG125 1 year never start never ride... when want to start again can... but throttle keep dying, take out and wash also very clean.. put back still same problem.. until buy a brand new carb then no problem at all....

i only got 1 question regarding ur friend issue. where he bought the new carb? if from the bike shop, then i hope u can guess what im thinking right now.

since u r using normal plug, let me suggest u to go to ur regular bikeshop to get it change. im 75% confident this 'less than 10bucks' trial will solve ur problem. good luck.
