May i know issit true that if there is sand on the road, bike will sure skid no matter how slow they are? Coz i read from an earlier post that he skidded even though he is going straight. That's scary!!!

called up LTA ... the woman also don't noe what to do. Seriously lookin at all the forum posts for innocent accidents,i feel for them.. Dunno who to claim.. motor damage own self settle... should i head to PAP ?

I think LTA is already doing a good job. Last week i sum stuff drop from a truck along holland ave. it created a real deep pot hole on the road. 2 hours later, police cars and contractors are there to fill it up.

retro dots, u r a bit unlucky there. they din get there quick enuff.. yup u shld get compensation for tt cuz it's not ur fault.. hopefully the cctv can find out which stupid truck left those stuff behind.. den u claim from LTA, LTA fine tt guy..

yeah i saw tat hole too..

it was at the junction tat can see e mrt track.

 

but tat hole confirm + chop fill up one. cos its really damn big n deep.

e hole is ard 1.5 times e size of a sewage cover.

I believe this road is the merchant road entrance.Its the road leading into cte>aye.This is a popular hotspot where pple tends to get into all sorts of accidents cos of the bend or i duno what.One car just overturn .

Bro, no offence but with regards to your situation, if you are caught, you are considered to commit an offence. Sec 403 cap 224 (criminal misappropriation). Thats because the money is not yours. Thats what the law says

it's not just about the dangerous roads.. my tyres, if without these debris, confirm can last another 2 months..

 

but because of all these debris, my tyre had be cut badly, there are more than 5 small holes leading to leak of air.. good think i discovered while washing bike..

 

TP should really go hard on those heavy vehicles.. i once saw a sand truck travelling at 100kph++ on the 2nd lane..

 

i proudly proclaimed SG's road cleaniness and worthiness to my foreign friends years back, but i doubt that now..

Para 3 of your post refers, i think we need to write in a petition to Traffic la. I think they are more interested in catching speedsters and stuffs and not paying much attention to this small small things which is actually equally dangerous esp to us riders.

If you see the road full of sand or spilt diesel, do everyone a favour and call 1800-CALLLTA (1800-2255582)

 

I tried it before, and they refered the case to NEA who deployed people clean up the gravel. Took 2 days to respond though, but if everyone keeps calling them they'll have to do something about it.

 

We pay road tax, our road tax pays for such services.
