for 2b bikes..27km/l is pretty o-k i guess..

cups should top at 40km/l..

sportsbikes mid twenties...

rxz 33km/l..

thats jus my opinion anyways..

most important is personal affordability bro... if u can pay, 10km/l also no issues...

cheers!

I thought 125cc bikes don't drink so much petrol? :faint:

hi, it really depends on wat type of 2b bikes. base on my experience,

1. 2strokes (150cc i get 13km/litre to 26km./litre)

2. 4strokes (180cc i get 40km/litre to 53km/l)

3. Vtwin (no comments on this but a 400cc vtwin shaft driven i get 20 - 22km/l)

4. auto transmission (200cc scooter i get 22km - 26km/litre)

No more regrets.

get a pulsar! 50km/L almost 2 twice what you are getting! save a lot in the long run. :faint:

there r several factors tat affects fc.

1) carb settings.

2) airfilter.

3) habits of your riding (throttling).

1) carb settings:

there r three main adjustments:

a) pilot or air screw setting, this adjust fuel meters into the engine at 0~1/2 throttle.

b) jet-needle's eclip at which slot, normally there r 5 slots on the jet-needle where top is lean n bottom is rich, this meters fuel flow at 1/4~3/4 throttle.

c) main-jet orific comes in various hole sizes in nos. like #98, #100, #102, etc. this meters fuel to engine at max throttle.

2) airfilter:

oem filters r normally made of paper element n dispose after 20,000km.

if u r using recycle airfilters like KNN or BMC, it is washable with their cleaning kit.

choked airfilter will increase fuel consumption, as lesser air r suck into the engine.

3) habits of your riding (throttling):

u save 17% if u ride at 80kph compare to riding at 100kph.

save more fc if u ride at 60 kph constant speed.

all bikes/cars/trucks/buses vehicle catalogue with printed average fuel consumption r tested at speed of 45 kph.

tat is why they look so good on papers.

Yeah.. Even CBR150 can get 40++ km/l. And I'm whacking 70 km/h on normal road, 100 km/h on expressways.
