Guys,

Got a small prob here on my side... I'm using the qualifiers stock tyres... It has been 7months now... Seems like my thread are wearing fast... Esp my front tyre... Its has been like only 11500km...

N 1 more thing... My tyre pressure seems to deplete fast... I have the habit of pumping air to my tyres everytime i top up my petrol... I noe its not rite to pump air when the tyre pressure is still hot... But everytime i pump my tyres, my front tyre pressure has dropped to like 220 and my rear dropped to 260...

Usually the front and rear i pump is 250 and 290 respectively according to the reccommended pressure...

Anyone facing this prob as well?? i've tried checking for leaks... So far i dun see any foreign object in my tyres...

Anyone can advise?

hhhmmmm.....maybe yr tyres have worn out dats y the pressure drop??? i'm not sure how long a qualifier can last. so i cant comment anything on the mileage lifetime of the tyre. u hav to pump yr tyres every week ah??? and everytime pressure drop at 30kpa??? how many psi is dat?? 3psi???

dude, check your tyre repair patches. bring a pail of soapy water and run it down your tyre slowly. if u see bubbles popping up somewhere continuously, there's a leak there. anyway, i just realised i am using the Qualifier D209s, not the new qualifiers that come stock with our bikes. f*ck man... didn't check properly. the D209 is in small fine print after the Qualifier word. nvm lor, use 1 year and change. the grip is ok la, just that the tyre has a pointy profile, that's why i feel that the front doesn't want to stay straight at low speeds.

on a side note, gas station air pumps are not 100% accurate. different stations have different discrepancies. tyre pressure is normal over many weeks of riding, if you check every week, at most should drop 10 to 15kPa. more than that then get a 2nd opinion liao.

btw, aren't you all glad you got the most highly rated 600 supersport of 2007 and 2008? i know i am :cheer:

Hmmm.... I not sure about psi... Next time i go check and memorise it.... Yupz, practically every wk, when i go pump petrol, i have to pump my tyres...

Bro, i seriously got not much time to do wat u reccommand, but still, thx for that... Anyway, any idea if a bikeshop will do it for us? How much?

Wah, like that next time if i decided to change back to stock tyres, i definately will check properly 1st man...

Btw, i always pump my tyre pressure at only 1 designated pump station, becoz i always pump my petrol there. Our house there the caltex loh... Well, i guess that i wun bother gettin a 1nd opinion... Coz most likely my tyres can last me like another 3-5months... After that i'll change it... Most likely change to Michellin Pilot Sport... Haha... If i have the money lah... If not than look for cheaper alternative liao...

hi! i'm going to get a rr8 in july so just wanna get a few opinions about some thing. :cheeky:

I will definitely bring the bike to track so i'm thinking to get a race fairing with paintjob immediately or get raceshield first and bring the bike to track in stock fairings. i'm not totally new to track but still a newbie. been to track a few times on my ex cbr400rr. hmmm..:giddy:

cheers.

p.s. this thread has been pretty quiet recently huh.. :sian:

Oct 05 - Dec 06: HONDA Phantom

Although i dun go track.... In my opinion... I rather u get a race fairing 1st.... Than when going to track, change ur original fairing to the race fairing.... Than bring to track... (touchwood) if anythin happen on track, at least u still have ur original fairing...

p/s Yah, this thread is pretty quiet nowadays.... waiting for u to liven things up...

hey fellow riders, any recommendation for frame protector?

Where can I buy at a reasonable price?

What is frame protector? R u tokin about sliders? Or those stickers to paste which prevent scratches?

hello, anyone here getting a rr8, saw a hannspree design at bikeshop, looks awesome, not sure whether its a limited design.

Bro, read a few pages back... Than u'll get ur ans... If i remember correctly, the handspree design got some restrictions...

no la the hannspree design is normal. it's a limited edition because of it's special paintwork just like the telefonica movistar CBRs (2 of them still sitting at loois showroom nobody want to buy lol). cost wise might be a little bit more compared to the standard designs but i like my tricolor so to each his own lor.

as for the restricted 600RRs, they are all sold in japan and nowhere else.

@ jin_meng, you could get advice from MSF67, he's a regular track junkie who knows his stuff.
