i hit 290k before reserve on my FIRST running in. After finish running in, normal riding in SG road...i manage to hit at least 270k before reserve...and my reserve alone hit 80k before my bike stop....no more fuel lah.

 

now i dunno lah.....hehehe

 

apologies, i must have missed it since it's not in this page. anyway, back to the question, what is the max amount of gasoline you have ever filled?

 

So far, the highest i hit before reserve is 275km.... Than my reserve start blinkin... So far, i haven tried how far my reserved can tahan.... Nowadays aso seldom hit reserved liao.... Once left my last bar, i will go pump petrol already.... Usually when i hit last bar, its around 250++km....

 

yeah it's not good to run on reserve. i read in a seperate thread that if the tank really empty and the fuel pump got no minyak to suck, it will suck in remnant gas/ air.

My bike's dead!!! I dunno y..... It has trouble starting.... When i press the ignition, it sounds as though the battery is very weak.... But the thing is, my speedo lights and headlights are still very bright... But there's a "tiak tiak tiak" sound comin from under my rear seat... I really wonder wtf is that....

 

Am damn sad now lah.... Haiz.... Btw, my bike haven 1yr, issit still under warranty? By the bikeshop or boon siew?? I aso dunno.... Somebody who noes can pls reply asap as on how to check whether my bike warranty from where and regardin the above problem... Wat can it be...

 

I dunno man, at total loss now... Dun wish to fork out money since its not 1yr yet....

 

Haiz.... I've been workin my ass off the month of May.... Doing OT almost everyday.... I dun wanna spend it away just like that man... I've got other things to do, buy, pay....

Not forgetting the lights on the dashboard. Is it blinking in a particular pattern (like Morse code)? Sometimes the blinking pattern tells you that something is wrong.

Actually 1week ago, i already realise that my battery startin to sound weak each time i start my bike... But it could still start wifout any prob.... So i tot i was worrying about nothin... Till this mornin.... When my bike died on me...

 

Call up my bikeshop since it near my house.... They willin to tow it back for me and gif me a lift to their shop.... N charge me $20.... &^$%$%#

 

Okie, anyway, back to the problem.... My battery was dead.... Was not chargin when the mech check... So, there, the mech confirmed my worries i have been havin past 1 week.... So, change the batt, i actually ask for original battery, but they told me the price, i think twice and decided against it liao.... Ask for recommendation.... They recommend Spinko ( i dunno how to spell).... They said mostly class2 bikes will change to this brand... They assure me that it will be ok and mite even last longer than the original battery... So no choice loh, since original so ex... Change to this brand...

 

Than got my engine oil change and oil filter change too.... Total damages today was $210.... Heart pain sia... Money fly away.... Than as i watch the mech take out the battery.... My heart aso pain sia.... Not even 1 yr.... Must stripe my bike here and there.... Haiz...

 

Anyway, now its back to normal liao.... The mech showed me using the voltmeter.... Once start the bike, the reading goes to 14.00 which means its charging.... When bike not started, its a 13.50.... Somewhere there i think.... Or issit 13.00 i can't remember liao...

less den 1 year yr battery weak oredi??? not charging??? did they check yr rectifier??? coil??? if sumthing wrong with dis 2, den no point changing new battery coz soon u will face the same problem again. correct me if i'm wrong guys, issit the coil or rectifier dat is helping yr battery to charge up??? cant remember. and if i am not wrong, rectifier is under our seat???

 

anyway bro, next time jus change to an original battery. honda bikes need a good strong battery bro.

you should have sent it to boon siew bro. if under warranty still need to pay for the battery meh? the reason why i keep mentioning them is because they have more accountability compared to normal bike shops. anyway, how much did the stock battery cost?

I think both the coil and rectifier plays a part to charge up the batt...

 

Hmmm... I dun think the coil or rectifier have any prob... Coz after changin the battery, the mech check using voltmeter to see whether still charging anot... Apparently, it is...

 

Anyway, was thinkin issit due to me changin horn thats y batt so fast weak... Coz i heard air horn takes up more batt usage... Haha... N i keep using it too...

Bro, i called boon siew up... Boon siew said that if i bought a parallel import bike, which i did, they do not gif warranty.... Warranty will come under the bikeshop... Stock batteries would cost me around 180....

Well, take this as a lesson learnt... An expensive lesson from buyin at such a shop... Coz i actually wanted to buy from bike productions.... But they dun take in CBR400 at that time.... So no choice.... This shop offered me the best price i could find for a CBR400 at that time...
