Yes, you can say so, it's got the oil forks now. Im going in this direction, but currently it's performance orientated first.

this picture is the honda little cub 50cc non fuel-injection model, with much Takegawa accessories especially around handlebar area, not to mention that the exhaust is a Takegawa Street Basic muffler. handlebar accessories makes the little cub look like honda joker or aprilia mojito, with small round gauge meters and short handlebars, and these meters fit into the little cub's 12v electrics. the centre plastic piece running down from steering cone to engine, is actually an optional part under the Cubra range, honda cub's very own optional parts for their entire line of cubs from 50cc to 85cc. google Honda Access and u will find it all.

This muffler is JMCA approved, able to apply with LTA for street legal use. However, i believe manufacturer cert does not state bike model for honda cubs c70, so no point buying in (at least to me). The next best exhuast (to me) available for cubs would have to be Kitaco Cabton exhaust, a very minimalistic looking slim straight pipe stainless steel JMCA stencilled approved exhaust, meant for the Honda C90, and again, i believe manufacturer cert does not state compatibility for C70 models, if not it would be the first buy-it on my list.

Tis is how Japs mod their cub. I wish i have the resources.....

Pics r very blur. I took the pics using my hp.

left is a honda little cub, without leshield all honda cubs pretty much look like this, fitted with an extended swingarm for longer shock travel thereby more comfort, can easily use a honda wave swingarm (

right is a cub without it's legshield plastic.

dunno why, to each his own, these kinda mods don't really appeal to me. just sharing my insight here for those who r wondering what easily-available parts to use on those mods.

:)

Meh? No money to buy takegawa one leh... It's bout 400plus from jap. And its only meant for one person sit. Cos its at the rear foot peg.

no, the exhaust doesn't take away the capability of pillioning, if u fit a similiar upsweep (that's what they call these kind of exhaust) muffler u can still pillion someone on your C70 provided u have some kind of protection or your pillion doesn't mind the exhaust heat.

for this photo it looks like as if exhaust fitted can only allow 1 seater, actually no, the honda little cub was factory built for single rider, thus u don't see pillion footrest at the swingarm.

just sharing

yes it does come with tires, but not sure of the quality of the tires. entire wheelset without brake covers and sprocket.

but how to pass inspection!!!?? got to see ur engine no. right?? anyway.. anyone tot of putting a sidecar?? thinking of putting cos to fetch my golden retriever around!!!hee

putting a sidecar requires a trip down to LTA, fees to be paid for sidecar license. worth checking it out. it would probably set u back close to a few k to license with a sidecar and $ for workshops to build u a sidecar. sidecars aren't allowed onto expressways fyi.

i have been informed by fellow bike enthusiasts about LTA relaxing laws for sidecars on bikes, but have yet to really find out for myself.

hey guy im back from bali. took a couple of pictures of some of the C70's there. will post it up soon. my mechanic called me just now and he said that the timing of my bike is all wrong. he said that he cant fix the problem. the most likely problem is that he said he has to change the magneto coil. i dont know if i can get that one for my bike coz its an original contact point bike but it has been upgraded to the CDI.

what you guys think? you guys have ever experience this or know anything bout it?

that's perhaps the easier way out for him, to change out the entire electrics to run on CDI, and u can perhaps request to change everything to run on 12V electrics if possible, might cost a bit, but in the long run it's definitely better than to be running on old school contact breakers.

but as i re-read your thread, it seems like just a coil burning out soon as said by your mechanic, since u mentioned it's on CDI now. most likely he might change a EX5 ignition source coil for you, which may require some worksmanship to custom fit another bike's coil into the magneto well.

happens sometimes, these r minor electric component failures. nothing too major for any mechanic to fix.

hey thanks for the reply guys. the mech told me, he will look for me the magneto coil and the magnet and see if the bike runs smoothly and doesnt backfire and the timing is right. its actually 2 seperate round items. thats something like what the mech told me. hope thats the problem. other than that the engine has already been overhauled.

some things up for sale, raising a bit of cash for other works. PM to offer, if you're keen in doing conversion.

these are some parts which i bought off several sources eBay and in thailand itself. i bought these with the initial intentions of converting my C70D Deluxe to look like a C70 Passport round headlight model. when i was sourcing for these parts i learnt that these parts are kinda hard to find.

i should think these parts are quite sufficient, although of course u'll need to source of speedometer headlight and switches yourself, which is not difficult to find locally. been informed by my mechanic that such conversion is not difficult as i have most of the essential parts.

the handlebar is somewhat straight in profile looking front, it's not as "bent up" as the older K1 models, i will attach model pics to illustrate this point.

top handlebar cover in good shape, marked HM-20N made in japan, believed to be for the K3 or later models.

PM to offer, you gotta self collect at admiralty mrt. my current C70 is a converted round headlight, thus no longer need these.
